TV ratings: Cowboys-Eagles 'Sunday Night Football' finale scores big

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013The last "Sunday Night Football" telecast of the 2013 regular season was a big one for NBC, giving the network huge ratings for the night as the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles played for a spot in the playoffs. CBS and FOX also got a boost from the NFL with late-afternoon games running into primetime on both networks. On the downside for CBS, its annual broadcast of the Kennedy Center Honors was down from last year, when it aired on a weeknight against less competition.NBC averaged 19.2 million viewers and a 10.9 rating/17 share in households for the night, almost doubling the total for second-place CBS (9.8 million, 5.9/10). FOX (8.7 million, 4.8/8) came in third; numbers for all three networks are subject to change pending updates for their live NFL broadcasts.
