'Atlantis' Mark Addy: 'You see this stuff in the movies'

Zap2it: Did you grow up knowing the Greek myths?Mark Addy: We learned about them in school.Zap2it: When did you know you wanted to be an actor?Mark Addy: I had work experience at York Theatre Royal in the workshop crew. And I started doing that, and I was in theater from the age of 14. And watching actors work, I found fascinating.Zap2it: Were you in school plays?Mark Addy: I can't remember.Zap2it: What other jobs have you had?Mark Addy: Not a huge amount, really. They told me about drama schools. I was auditioning, and I tried and got into Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. On holidays, I would work crew on shows.
