Helix Season 1 Review “Pilot; Vector”

Helix was made for me.

I know that sounds extremely self-important, but hear me out.

I’ve been Moore (it’s punny) entertained by Ronald D. Moore’s television work than any other writer/producer. A lifelong science fiction fan, I grew up watching Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and years later, his reimagined Battlestar Galactica (my favorite show EVER).
One of my favorite books is Richard Preston’s The Hot Zone, which loosely inspired the Dustin Hoffman film Outbreak (a cheese-tastically awesome movie). The book details the true story of an Ebola outbreak at an animal research facility in Reston, Virginia.
