'The Originals': Charles Michael Davis on Klaus and Marcel's power struggle

When "The Originals" returns to The CW on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Marcel is biding his time. The former vampire king of New Orleans forcibly abdicated his throne when evil original vampire/werewolf hybrid Klaus came back to town, but now that they're sharing the position there's a semi-truce in the works. "He's patient right now. Things can definitely change but he knows not to freak out," Charles Michael Davis tells Zap2it. "Losing the kingdom to Klaus was seemingly a failure, but definitely something to learn from. He's still in the game." Since "there's no sort of timetable that applies like in the human world," Marcel knows that "things change and times change and people's interests change, so he's going to stay pretty grounded and not make any rash decisions."Of course, just because Marcel is being patient doesn't mean he's not afraid of his co-ruler.
