‘Space Dandy’ Anime Gets Key Visual, Character Designs

It’s certainly not surprising to see a Shinichiro Watanabe series get a lot of attention and one can bet that the series is either already quietly licensed or being funded in some way at this stage after the announcement at Otakon. Space Dandy has some new information out today, including some character pieces you can see at ANN, with a big full piece of artwork that makes the style and humor of the show pretty clear from the start. In addition to this bit of news, and a cleaner concept of what the show is about, it was also revealed that Yasyuki Okamura will be performing the theme songs for the series and the production team is also getting something going on a promo video to “introduce” Okamura to the Space Dandy crew in some comical way.
