The Blacklist Season 1 Review “The Cyprus Agency”

Does anybody remember that time when this show used to be fun?

Only a few months ago, I was praising the show for allowing itself to have a little fun inside the vastly dark criminal underworld. Granted, James Spader was the guy supplying most of it, but the show had to be given credit for allowing him to run amok inside of the increasingly dark procedural. However, the past few episodes have shown what an exhausting death slog this show can be when he’s not around. It reached a crescendo this week with an episode that should have horrified me (as it was designed to do), but just felt more like a chore than anything else.
