Switched at Birth Season 3 Review “It Hurts to Wait With Love if Love is Somewhere Else”

We’ve been waiting a long time for Switched at Birth about what was, is and might be going on with Bay and Emmett’s fraught relationship and the latest episode, ‘It Hurts to Wait With Love if Love is Somewhere Else’, finally had the conversation. But, though it was done in a way that I was totally happy with as a fan of Bay’s character, Bemmett shippers may not be so thrilled. The whole episode was kind of exploring the long-term ramifications of betrayal, and that bled into Daphne’s storyline, too.

Because while Bay was juggling her own feelings towards Ty and Emmett, two guys who hurt her in the worst ways, Daphne was facing life on the other side. Pursued by both Campbell and Jorge, Daphne had to decide whether to go after the guy she already has feelings for, but who has a girlfriend, or the guy that seems genuinely interested in her. We all know Daphne likes to take the most difficult path whenever she can, so it’s no surprise that Campbell was her first choice, but I was also proud of her when she realized how wrong following through on that kiss would have been.
