'How I Met Your Mother': Going through the 5 stages of grief in 'Vesuvius'

Monday's (March 3) "How I Met Your Mother" piled one emotional scene on top of another at the end of the episode, and the ending pretty well confirmed a prevalent theory about how the series itself will wrap up.Spoilers, unless you've been on a "HIMYM" message board in the past several months."Vesuvius" very, very strongly suggested that the reason Ted is telling all these stories about the years leading up to his meeting the Mother is because she's dead. The final scene, with Bob Dylan's "If You See Her, Say Hello" and Ted choking up after his wife says, "What mother wouldn't be there for her daughter's wedding?," all point to confirmation of that theory.The show could be pulling one last twist, but it sure doesn't feel that way.
