TV ratings: 'American Idol' and 'Modern Family' rise Wednesday, 'Arrow' slips

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, March 5, 2014"American Idol" ticked up slightly Wednesday with its Top 12 performances, improving a little in adults 18-49 (although dipping a small amount in total viewers). It was enough to give FOX a win across the board for the night.ABC's "Modern Family" also improved its adults 18-49 rating over last week and was the night's top show in the demographic, while episode 2 of "Mixology" held onto nearly all of its premiere rating. "Criminal Minds" was also up for CBS.
