Third SG-1 movie?

Whispers going around about a third Stargate SG-1 movie sometime soon. This is an excerpt from Joseph Mallozzi's wordpress:

Ben writes: "And also where do we sit in terms of getting another SG1 movie?"

Answer: If all goes as planned, we should be filming both the SGA movie and the third SG-1 around the same time next year.

I wonder what this new movie could be about? All the System Lords are dead (please, no more clones!), the Replicators are all gone, the Ori have been destroyed and the Priors turned to the light side... what is there left?

With sci-fi, and fantasy anything is possible. You can create any type of evil doer no matter how absurb it is. I was thinking that all the assending beings out in the world that there has to be some evil being that is more powerful than the ori or the gould ever was. How about incoorperate the doomsday of december 21m 2012 and the february 14, 2013 that is being predicted over the internet? I would love to see Oneill and Carter get together and Tealc finding somebody, but I also like Mitch Cammron to be there also. I would like also see that Daniel gets assended again and revamp the whole bs that the ancients puts in place so that if earth or another planet needs help from an assending being they can always call on them? Just a thought.

ooooooohh i had a wicked thought reading these comments, but now ive forgotten it damn!!! they should involve the lucian alliance again they were awesome or they stumble across yet another piece of Ancient technology that allows them to reanimate dead tissue and typically therea only enough power to use it once and theybring back Sha`re Daniels wife but she comes back with the gouald personality still stuck in her head and with exstensive knowledge she infiltrates the SGC & like kills everybody, lmao ooh ooh theyshould bring back Shifu the Harcesis child thatd be awesome & he and Daniel connect again like back in season 4 episode 17 Absolute Power where Daniel gets his head messed with showing him that if the SGC were to have all that power at there disposal it would likely lead to global civil war... t.b.c

I think it should be the asguard and the replicators. Because the replicators was a cliff hanger and Dr. Daniel Jackson talk with the asguards in the Stargate Atlantis episode. Plus they should do more off world exploring and bring the Stargate to the population.

The next movie should be about the Furlings! We never did meet them and it still bugs me.

oh and the asgard in the atlantis episodes split of from the milky way asgards around 10,000 years ago if you listen carefully to Dr Daniel Jackson talking to the asgard from the suit in the lost tribe. (also hence the title the lost tribe)

I think this movie should be about exploration and meeting NEW races, because there always going on about having only explored a fraction of the galaxy. I think that they should be building defenses and stuff. I really want to see some new x304's and maybe some stealth ships with cloaks like the gou'ald cargo ships that would solve loads of problems lol New races would be good aswell as maybe the firlings, i love the old villains but i think they have been played to death. I just really want to see something NEW.

If every enemy is gone, ever thought the stargates have a limited supply of the naquita energy so after a certain amount of jumps they enter a self destruct mode which wipes out entire solar systems? Far fetched i know but just an idea, Furlings would be good but doesnt that seem a little much for a 2 hour film? wouldnt they lead that onto a new series *wink wink*

We assume there were no survivors from Tolanna, because of the crackling message at the end of that episode. It's a television script ploy of indicating that they got cut off and were killed. Still, wouldn't rule anything out. Furlings would be awesome though, the final great race we didn't meet. Or maybe something new altogether?

I hope they finally try and introduce the Ferlings (how ever you spell it). They never really showed them there was only that stupid part where a planet blows up in one of the episodes and the little bear things were the ferlings. Or. maybe they finally meet the enemies that were in the episode called Foothold where the aliens took over the base. Or. maybe they find survivors of the Tolan.

I would hope that the 3rd SG-1 movie is about the "Real" Team, Jack, Sam, Daniel & Teal'c. I also hope that FINALLY Jack and Sam are allowed to be together.Perhaps, the timeline was changed yet again with Continuum, the Go'auld are not defeated, no one has ever heard of or cared about the B'Ori and the top System Lord is once again Apophis.

mmm....I would FINALLY love some more character development, which, in my opinion, is what made SG-1 so great. Would love to see a Vala/Daniel conclusion like in Unending or just more of their tension; its so great. Also, a combination of Atlantis and SG-1 would be so cool :D

Like the ideas bigtvfan but I think you might have a problem having the Asguard involved in the third film... they all died in the last SG-1 episode, Unending. I would quite like to see them go public and maybe a fallout as a result.
| Sep 9, 2008 3:59PM EDT
Also I think even more likely is that the movie could involve them finally going public with the Stargate program.
| Sep 9, 2008 3:56PM EDT
I think it would most prob be just a wrap-up of the characters. It's about time that Oneil and Carter get married. Also it could give a background into the upcoming Stargate Universe show. Definately Asgard and Tok'ra and Jaffa will be involved.

One really pissed off Asgard who got left behind and who wants access to the Asgard core?
