Motive Season 2 Review Overboard

First of all, hello there, Motive fans! We may have missed episode two, but TV Equals will be bringing you regular Motive reviews this season via moi. To be honest, I am bummed I didn’t get to start with last week’s episode with the killer performance from Jennifer Beals, but alas I have to start with “Overboard,” the first episode of the season where the case is both transparent from the get go and the motive is flimsy at best.

Our killer is the handsome (not pertinent information, but I am mentioning it anyway) soldier/caterer who dislocates knees for jobs, Damian. Our victim, Alicia, the socialite beard for her in the closet catholic husband. Alicia was dating Kurt, the husband of her friend Meredith. In order to make Kurt pay for killing his sister by dumping her in the ocean and getting away with it, Damian decided to inflict the same kind of pain on Kurt by killing the women he loved. When it turned out Meredith was being cuckolded by Kurt, he decided to kill poor Alicia instead since she was the woman Kurt loved.
