Dollhouse Returns! Then Ends. How Should the Series Wrap Up? - Featured

This winter's Dollhouse return is bittersweet: we get the excitement of all new episodes after a break, but also in that break we learned that this is the end for Dollhouse.

FOX is coming through with their promise of airing the 13 episodes planned, so there are 9 episodes left after those already aired this season. We'll get 2 episodes at a time starting Friday and through the rest of December, then in January, 1 episode will be aired a week through the 13th and final episode... ever.

Despite the huge fan outcry to save Dollhouse last season when it seemed Dollhouse wouldn't get renewed, it seems the fan feelings have shifted now to feeling okay with the cancellation, as long as they get a proper ending to the show.

So, Dollhouse fanatics, what should that proper ending be? Should the dollhouse be shut down once and for all? Do you hope Echo and the other dolls find some happiness beyond their previous lives or do you hope they can go back to their old lives? How about all the dollhouse workers and handlers - what should become of them? And with all that - what do you want the overall climatic point to be to this short-lived show?

Share your hopes and predictions below!

Don't miss the 2-hour return of Dollhouse Friday on FOX at 8/7c including guest star Summer Glau:

Well this is just sad that it is going to be cancelled but at least we do get a ending out of it. As for the show I hope the writes take into concideration that the ending is near, they need to start explain more about the doll house and give every one a good or at least stable life. I think they should leave the doll house still open so if later they want bring it back they can! Like they did with season 1.

I don't much care how the show ends actually I have yet to get a chance to see it. but Joss of your listening please lease please done use this as more ammunition to whine. you pissed and moaned for far too long about losing Firefly and the damage they did to your work in X-men. I started out sympathetic but as time went on I could only hear a rich man complain so much about the injustice of it all.

There is already a good ending to Dollhouse called "Epitaph 1". For the sake of all Dollhouse fans, I don't know why Joss Whedon ignored such a good launching point for the second season. If the show is going to dissolve into a story about girls in small clothing, at least have a good storyline to back it up. All in all, for the fumbling of the beginning of the second season, it deserves to be canceled.

EPITAPH 1 is a great Episode but I feel Joss Whedon Shouldn't end it from a Tv Series medium. I say finish the series and release a Mini-Series or 2 Part Episode afterwards independently. Collect funds from producers, cast, crew & fans to budget the ending. Go out with a BANG for FOX & the fans to be satisfied with. FOX will find this appealing because they benefit from marketing it as well as making DVD sales in the future from loyal fans. The fans will love it because it gives the staff more time to come up with a great ending to the series that has more substance than a forced 13th episode.
Think of Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, Torchwood or Stargate with network movies & straight to DVD sales. It will cost less than an entire season to budget & fans will get more out of it. I feel FOX always cuts shows short when it come to Science Fiction & other means have to be taken independently. I say if possible cut the middle man out (FOX), after all what they did to fans on their network with Dollhouse, Firefly & Sarah Connor hasn't been fair.
Thats my opinion anyway.

It should end with Joss Whedon kicking himself in the ass for working with Fox again. He should try SyFy or something, with all the crap that's on that channel he'll probably be more successful.

is it just me or have they cancelled dollhouse just as its got really good, i loved these last 2 episodes and now echos out in the world it means every episode doesn't have to consist of the ame generic imprinting story arc, which i admit was becoming a bit manotimus.
