It's gotta be Charlie. The guy simply cracks me up.

There is no correct answer to this question but Mac. He is banging a tranny and was jealous when he thought a gym teacher did not want to molest him. His dance move, "the karate chop" is mesmerizing.

Charlie because he makes me laugh!

Dennis is the best character. Why? Because Narcissism is funny. Popping the shirt off is classic. Admit it, you know someone who is a narcissist. They usually turn me off, but the character of Dennis pops.

I'm going to go against the populous by picking Denise. His character just pulls the show together, he treats everyone else like trash and only cares about himself. He is probably the worst person in the world but at the same time his chararter is soooooooo rare where as Charlie is hilarious there is a character who plays the same role as him in almost every show. In the episode where the Doyle's try robbing the bar he goes and seduces the sister who......is......, well I'm sure she has inner beauty.

I like Charlie. He reminds me of Alan ruck's Cameron from "ferris bueller's day off."

Charlie. OMG, he is so vulgar and hillarious. Too funny.

It's Charlie, gets me laughing till I cry

I definatley have to stand by Sweet Dee. I understand why she still hangs around those guys. She's a strong woman. I love this show.

Charlie....OF COURSE cause he is AWESOME...is my favorite. My favorite episode is "Sweet Dee's Dating a Retard" where Charlie wrote the song "Dayman" (Oh oh oh) (Fighter of the Nightman) (Champion of the Sun). I loved (and still love) that song. IT was funny to hear them sing it, have Frank, Mac, Dennis and Dee's band go up and get kicked off by the Rapper...supposedly a retard who we find out actually isn't after all. Still...it is awesome and can't wait for the next SEASON!!!

My favorite character is Charlie because he is incredibly dedicated to being a filthy person. He does not own a toothbrush, he refers to his lice as "man glitter" (when he likes to get fancy), and he washes his testicles every Friday (whether or not anyone believes that). He also picks up poop with his bare hands. Way to go Charlie, I love your plaque.

My favorite character is Charlie, but for different reasons. He is such an optimist, and goes along with everyone else so good-naturedly, even though he usually gets the crap end of the deal. His alternating innocence and vulgarity are priceless.

By far, my favorite is Mac. I will mention little else but his dance moves, that dance off episode made me crack up and consistently even in thought. Beyond that, he comes up with some of the best ideas in the show and breaks off into a solo mission which once in a while finds another of the 5 involved but Mac is funny enough to go it alone. Charlie thrives more off the other 4 characters (still funny as hell).

although i have to agree with everyone else who says that Charlie is freaking hilarious, my favorite character in the show is Frank (played by Danny Devito). I have one simple reason for this somewhat difficult choice. He is freaking tiny. He's so small. Just looking at him makes me laugh and he steals every scene he is in. When he was hallucinating being trapped in the RV bathroom while tripping on LSD but was really standing in a trash can where he had been for several hours, brilliant! Danny Devito, my hat's off to you. Now don't go getting any plastic surgery on us. Little people power!

i love Charlie, he's just so vulgar! i love how he tries to impress the waitress it's just so sad and cute.

Charlie because he has been crippled, molested and gets cancer. Oh and he is hilarious

I find all of the characters funny in their own ways, but I connect the most with Dennis. While he appears to be the educated, clean cut, and rational one of the bunch, we all know that he usually lets his ego, competitiveness, and metrosexuality get in the way. If he's not removing his shirt to solve a problem or exploiting someone else, he's usually trying to improve his physical appearance and seduce as many women as possible. Also, his consistent enjoyment of Rick Astley music makes him even more entertaining (who doesn't love "never gonna give you up"). My favorite scenes with him are the ones with the coffee shop waitress who is in love with him. He always blows her off and rubs it in Charlie's face. In any case, I cannot wait for the premiere on Sept. 18!!

Since I usually get the "charlie work", I have to say Charlie is my favorite. I don't go as far as he in my filth factor, but I really can relate to him. Mix matched furniture in my house and it is so diorganized. He's funny and sad at the same time. Can't believe he can make it rhough the day.

Charlie is undoubtedly the best character on the show, if not TV. I cannot even use my own words to describe him, so I will use his: "Hello, fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power good. Thank you, thank yoou. If you vote me, I am hot. Taxes, they'll be lower, son. The Democratic vote for me is the right thing to do Philadelphia, so do."That is all, now I must get back to huffing glue and saving ponies.

I love Charlie, but my favorite is Mac. He's just as hilarious as Charlie with his quirks, but his character seems much harder to portray because the details are so subtle. I love the way he can't seem to fit in with anyone. He has stupid ideas that seem to pair him up with Charlie, but he still recognizes Charlie's stupidity and therefore can't really fit in with him. On the other side, he considers himself good looking, but can't seem to get the attention Dennis does for his looks and charm. I guess it's the way Rob McElhenney is able to play the middle ground so well. Without him there would be a huge disconnect in the character interaction.

my favorite character is charlie i just find him really interesting and hilarious especially because of his whole dyslexia problem that is kinda sad though but it makes things a little funny

Chalie is hands down my favorite. Maybe its the fact that writing anything in sentence form is nearly impossible, or maybe its because that he walks around his house in long underwear and has patio furniture in his living room. He cannot read which is a main reason i like him so much. In the episode "The gang solves the North Korea situation" Charlie is convinced that the North Korean's have a pirate in their back room when the sign actually said private. Between Charlie's crazy ideas and his odd way of doing things he also "tries to do the right thing" on occasion. In the episode that Dennis, Frank and Charlie buy the cop car, Charlie is concerned about busting the bad guys as the undercover cop but when Dennis and Frank lose sight of "cleaning up the streets" Charlie burns the cop car to make things right again. In these situations Charlies' solutions only make sense to him just like when he writes a song for their band and it looks like a page out of a coloring book. Charlie's character makes you want to watch the show over and over again because you never know what he is going to do or say keeping us viewers attached to the show! Aside from Charlie the next best character was Special Agent Jack Bauer. Even though he was only in one episode he was clearly pretty awesome!

My favorite Sunny character, like everyone else, is Charlie, but since everyone else is already writing about how much they love Charlie I decided to write about my second favorite character, Dennis. My love for Dennis started in the premiere episode, The Gang gets Racist. His line "You know what Dee, I don't really wanna hear about your dreams. Ok, I hate listening to people's dreams. Its like flipping through a stack of photographs; if I'm not in any of them and nobody's having sex, i just don't care." That quote just sums up Dennis' character for the series. He loves himself and the only reason he would ever care about anyone else is to know what they think of him.

Charlie is my favorite character just because of the hilarious things he does and how he acts when he does them. Like, when he the Nightman, in "Sweet Dee Dates a Retarded Person", or when he makes his Grilled Charlie, which consists of chocolate, peanut butter, butter, and cheese. Although he is so dumb, he is the most loveable character of the cast because he has redeeming qualites, which is hard to say for Mac and Dee, and even harder for Dennis and Frank.

From his threatening his landlord with the gang's gun (after having offered him Rice Krispie squares as rent payment), to dressing up in an entirely white suit to preach in the back of the bar, Charlie has some of the most priceless moments on the show. He can't win with the beautiful waitress, and never seems to be able to shirk "Charlie work" for long. With a 99% rate of literacy in American adults today, his illiteracy is both mystifying and hilarious, as it seems from the show that he did still finish high school, although he didn't go to his prom. The final scene from "Underage Drinking: A National Concern", with Charlie dancing alone at the underage students' prom, is heart-breakingly funny. And who can forget Charlie as an 80s Bruce Springsteen going America all over everybody's asses!
| 16:40 EDT, 27 Aug, 2008
My Favorite character is Charlie. He is the only one I think that has any redeeming qualities which in this cast is hard to find. He does all the work and sincerely loves the waitress (his real life wife) despite her obvious disinterest in him. He is also an idiot which is always an endearing quality in a comical character. There are many things that make him awesome; his hieroglyphic lyrics, the state of his apartment, his elaborate plans, bad investments, violent outbursts, glue addiction, hidden musical talents and an altogether eccentric personality. "Domino, biatch!"
| 15:24 EDT, 27 Aug, 2008
Charlie is without a doubt the best of all the characters on this show...just the way he reads and writes is enough, but there's also his apartment ("That's my good chair!") to the way he wears long underwear around, to his brilliant musical compositions. They are all awesome but Charlie is the king.
