EW caught up with both of American Idol's Davids to chat about

On tonight's exciting and extremely, ridiculously drawn out 2-hour American Idol Season 7 finale, we finally got our winner!

So now, America (aka SideReel International), we ask you:

Did the right David win?

In my opinion, absolutely 100%!! But hey, what do I know, I just like David Cook's scruff and that silly thing called talent.

What do you think? Should David Archuleta have taken the Idol crown or is David Cook the rightful Season 7 king?

i am from australia and am watching thru pay tv fox 8 and have been glued to each episode. After watching the final episode I thought archeletta would win cause I thought on the night that he outsang cook.... but I really wanted cook to win because I want to buy his cd.I google him at 12.30 pm today at work to find that he one and was thrilled. Even though I loved archeletta, I think cook is a much more exciting and versatile singer, cant wait for his cd.

David Cook won me on Music of the Night. If not that, everything else. Archuleta had some great performances early on, but didn't really improve throughout as much. I see a better album in the future for Cook than Archuleta, and one that I would buy.

i thik Archuleta is WAY to young to win something like that, it would go to his head and he'd probably end up like the other singers that started off young, sex tapes and car crashes, hahah! David Cook, to me, was a way better performer and much more charismatic, everytime Ryan asked Archuleta a question he'd just be like, ummmm, i don't know, he needs to learn how to answer some simple questions before he can become famous

David Cook's scruff. Yum. Oh yes, and he was quite talented too! haha.. I agree- Archuleta is way too young and needs to build up confidence to camouflage his nerves - I feel like he needs a little bit of an ego to truly understand his talent! (Although once he gets one America will resent him for it!) Anyway.. I'm all for David Cook being the next American Idol!

Yess david cook totally deserved to win! Archie's good too, but if you'd followed the whole season, he hasnt really grown much from his comfort zone of ballads.. Cook is more versatile than Archie, and that's why he won the title. Plus, he's fresh and original, and has a wider fan base than the Archie fangirls. Cook soo deserved the title of American Idol. I cant wait till his album comes out :D

David Archuleta TOTALLY deserved to win. But im glad he didnt, or else then idol would own him. Now Archie has a record label AND he made ALOT more money than Cook did out of his record deal
