Cancellation Buzz: What Bubble Shows Deserve to Stay? - Featured

With a number of shows on the bubble as renewal season approaches, there are some that it seems about time for them to go, whether they are relatively new or have been around a while, and some that would be very unfair to axe at this point.

So of these shows in the Cancellation Danger Zone, or others that we left off here, what deserves to stick around for another season?

Friday Night Lights

Knight Rider (2008)

Kath and Kim

Lipstick Jungle

Without a Trace

Cold Case

I know I'll be heartbroken if Chuck and Life don't make it, and very disappointed about Friday Night Lights and Lipstick Jungle as well, though I would be happy to see Kath and Kim, Knight Rider (2008) go. How about you?

Check out SideReel's Cancellation Buzz to see what you can do to help save your danger zone favs, and also their current danger zone statuses!

Dollhouse. FOX won't be able to stand again if it axes another Whedon series. Don't know about the others...I'd happily ditch them all to have Reaper back.
| 16:00 EDT, 24 Sep, 2009
Chuck and Dollhouse should stay, Chuck is brilliant.Privileged, I dont really like. Most of the others I didnt even watch so I dont care about them.
| 15:43 EDT, 02 May, 2009
If they cancel Chuck I will have no faith in the people running NBC. Chuck is the Best Show on TV period.
| 03:57 EDT, 24 Apr, 2009
KEEP DOLLHOUSE!!! I could care less about the others, although having seen a few episodes, I think Chuck, Cold Case, and Without a Trace are all fairly good shows. But seriously, Joss Whedon is my hero and Dollhouse is probably my favorite show currently on the air. I know Joss and the rest of the writers, cast, and crew could carry the story for a long time to come. There's a lot of talent there.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS ...hands down man!!! But it's already saved. It's going to have 2 new seasons!!!! I'm so happyyyyyyyy and excited :) :) I can't wait!!!FNL rooooccckkkksssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Tim Riggins <3.
| 23:43 EDT, 22 Apr, 2009
I can sacrafice every other show on that list as long as Chuck is renewed myself.
| 00:54 EDT, 12 Apr, 2009
At JME, Kath & Kim is NOT trying to be like My Name Is Earl It is based on an Australian show tha out years ago.
| 12:57 EDT, 07 Apr, 2009
FNL has been renewed, thanks to Directv. But... literally, something is so amiable about Chuck and its characters that the loss of it would hurt more than the loss of any other show I can imagine right now. Something else - Sarah Connor won't make it, but I really feel it should. Why do all the creative shows get ditched in favor of law, doctor and cop dramas? Seriously. It's so...DULL.
| 10:35 EDT, 05 Apr, 2009
I will let all these shows get cancelled, if chuck could stay... But if it has to go, make sure it has a proper ending, unlike Moonlight.
| 23:56 EDT, 03 Apr, 2009
I'll trade the cancellations all these shows for the revival of Pushing Daisies!!! Hate you ABC!!!!
| 08:10 EDT, 31 Mar, 2009
Chuck needs to stay!
| 00:49 EDT, 31 Mar, 2009
I can connect with the characters/premise of Life most. Only thing out of the whole list I watch regularly.
| 02:53 EDT, 29 Mar, 2009
Chuck. Life. Cold Case.
| 00:50 EDT, 29 Mar, 2009
I haven't watched a majority of the shows on the list; however, I'm a big fan of Chuck and Dollhouse. I want to see where the storylines for both of these shows are going, and, personally, I think if the networks give them more time we will definitely see the shows grow stronger. Joss Whedon has never failed us when it comes to his ideas. For him to collarborate yet again with FOX (who killed Firefly) was probably not that smart of a choice. I will say that FOX does tend to take more risks when it comes to what they broadcast. ABC, NBC, and CBS tend to stick with more "safe" shows, many of which are extremely dumb (like almost all of the "reality" shows they air). If FOX really wants Dollhouse to work, maybe they should try scheduling it on the same night they show Fringe. Of course, that's just my opinion! As for Chuck, it's in its sophomore season, and I find it more entertaining with every episode I watch. I love the chemistry between Chuck and Sarah. I want this show to stick around; I want to know if Chuck will ever accept that he's the Intersect AND pursue Sarah. Forget trying to get it out and having a normal life. I don't think he'd ever really be happy going back to normal after all the things he's seen and done. Not to mention, I think it makes him a more perfect match with Sarah having the Intersect in his head. But, again, that's just my opinion! lol

Kath and kim is actually really funny people watch it. I know it you will feel stupid for laughing at the stupid jokes but every one does so laugh it up. Chuck, life, dollhouse, friday night lights, and privilged a long with kath and kim should stay. They're all different shows and great for their own reasons. They shouldn't be canceled.
| 21:29 EDT, 25 Mar, 2009
I will be heartbroken if FNL ends :( its such a great show.
| 06:47 EDT, 22 Mar, 2009
LifeI think this show should come back. It is so interesting and I want to continue the story. Now the partners are put against each other, a whole slew of questions awaits to be answered. Please continue this show. ChuckIts interesting, but Im not sucked in as much as i want to be. Its hard to give this a leap of faith. I can't connect to it. The old bag of a general lady has got to go. The screen they displayer her in should be way better quality considering all the other gadget and technology they have. eh. PrivilegedNever saw this show, don't really care. Friday Night LightsGood show, but I saw the movie. Thank you very much. Enough for me. Although if it stays, i'll ganter at a few episodes now and again. Its defenitely a good drama. DollhouseHe's back at it and I'm liking it. Joss whedon has something interesting and tempting here. I saw the last episode and its like finally, the two storylines meet and now to wait and see if she will gain her mind back etc. I still think echo needs a few acting lessons. But she's getting better.Knight Rider (2008)Thank the gods this is gone. They should have made it closer to the original since the beginning and they wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. Now they on the edge of cancellation and its only expected. I don't care if this goes, kind of want it to actually. They made a good ending for it, if it does get canceled. Kath and KimSeriously, dude, before the creator makes something else. Please think it seriously , sleep on it some more. This was horrible. Lipstick JungleNever saw it. Don't care much. CrusoeEh. Please. Not original at all. Without a TraceJust doesn't have what it takes. The office drama of the agents is so pathetic. I have no connection or care for what happens to them. They all whine about their lives, but you never see any of it. Except the few episodes with that guys brother the heroin addict? wateva. not interested. GTFO tv. Ty. Cold CaseNot bad of a show. Not great. The girl needs to use her eyes more. sometimes it feels like she's just staring into space. lol. But the stories aren't bad. I won't be sad if it goes though.
| 01:28 EDT, 22 Mar, 2009
It will be sad to see without a trace and cold case go, but I feel their time is up. They've been on for a couple years, characters have developed, it's the same drab plots day in and day out. I do enjoy chuck and dollhouse both, they haven't been on long enough for anyone to grow attached, at least give them another year. Kath and Kim is revolting, I can't stand the show. I believe Selma Blair and Molly Shannon sank so low with this one, they may never be able to pull themselves back up again. I can't say i've watched any of the other shows listed, if they didn't interest me when they came out, they don't interest me now, I say junk em. But hey, it's not about how I feel, it's all about ratings, as long as someone is watching somewhere, it may just make it.
| 23:23 EDT, 21 Mar, 2009
If Chuck and FNL go I'll cry a little on the inside. They're two of my alltime favourites.Best. Shows. Ever.
| 13:07 EDT, 21 Mar, 2009
If Chuck and Life Go I WILL HATE NBC FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. Also Dollhouse definitely has to stay the plot is awesome the ratings are down becuase stupid FOX has to put on Fridays. Seriosly does FOX hate Joss Whedon?
| 03:44 EDT, 21 Mar, 2009
LIFE, CHUCK absolutely. Also, maybe, Friday Night Lights and Dollhouse.
| 20:58 EDT, 20 Mar, 2009
If Chuck is cancelled, then NBC is losing one of their best shows
| 18:12 EDT, 20 Mar, 2009
Chuck, life, and dollhouse definitely need to make it. Dollhouse may be new but its beginning to find its roots and gets better and better each episode. chuck and life are just amazing shows with brilliant minds behind them. Kath and Kim is alright and I'm impartial but Chuck, Life and Dollhouse DEFINITELY!
| 12:26 EDT, 20 Mar, 2009
CHUCK. what else...
| 10:31 EDT, 20 Mar, 2009
Chuck and friday night lights have to stay they are two of the best shows on at the moment and provide the best of everything in each episode from action to comedy to drama.
| 03:30 EDT, 20 Mar, 2009
Chuck,FNL,Privileged and Lipstick Jungle
| 01:48 EDT, 20 Mar, 2009
I love Chuck, it's a great show and I want it to stick around. The same goes for Dollhouse. Kath and Kim is a guilty pleasure of mine. I'm sure the fact that I enjoy it will upset some loser somewhere but I don't care.
| 22:28 EDT, 19 Mar, 2009
Life has to stay...its is dollhouse.I hope Chuck and Priviledged stay on too...and i hope lispick jungle stays although it seems unlikely...i dont watch the other shows so i dont know how i feel about them either way...
| 21:59 EDT, 19 Mar, 2009
Got to agree with jme's picks. Keep Chuck, Life and Dollhouse, really like Chuck and Life so much and really want to be able to see where Dollhouse is going.
| 21:50 EDT, 19 Mar, 2009
Life, Chuck, and Dollhouse are the ones i am really attached to and don't want to see go, if i had to choose I would say get rid of Without a Trace (haven't watched so much of it other than reruns but it doesn't seem to be very interesting or to change each episode) and Kath and Kim, which i watched the entire season of but don't feel like it really achieved what it was trying to do (something like My Name is Earl?)
| 20:32 EDT, 19 Mar, 2009
"Objectively, on this list I'd say Friday Night Lights and Dollhouse have the best chance of making it, which is good, because they are among my favorites. Of the remaining shows, I'm also most attached to Chuck and Privileged." you spoke my mind
| 20:28 EDT, 19 Mar, 2009
I agree the more you talk up a show the more it stays in peoples heads, and networks do see there is interest. For my choice its got to be Chuck and Life, they both shows i can't wait to watch. Life especially has so much going on, it would be a shame to lose it before we find out what the twists and turns are.
| 19:47 EDT, 19 Mar, 2009
@itastenice. Disagree. Leaving alone is the worst thing we could do! We've learned in the past via shows like Jericho that networks actually do respond to interest by fans. Especially for shows that have already finished their seasons but are on the bubble (like Privileged) - chatter that demonstrates that fans haven't already forgotten about the show is really helpful. Objectively, on this list I'd say Friday Night Lights and Dollhouse have the best chance of making it, which is good, because they are among my favorites. Of the remaining shows, I'm also most attached to Chuck and Privileged. Lipstick Jungle is pretty much a done deal canceled, so I am ok with just letting that one go.

This 'cancellation buzz' has been going on for months now.The main reason there's a 'buzz' is because people keep bringing it up.Leave it alone.
