When Shawn and gus come running and screaming from the house. lol, And when Gus drove off leaving Shawn behind was the funniest moment of the whole show. Stampnsark@aol.com
| Sep 1, 2009 10:39PM EDT
My favorite moment was Shawn: “Gus, note to self. Remember 1600 Joshua Lane.”Gus: “You can’t give me your note to self, it’s a note to yourself.”
| Sep 1, 2009 10:28PM EDT
It's been said before, but it can stand to be said again...and again. And (what the heck) again. "American Duos" was the most hilarious episode in all of Psych's comedic glory, period. It's got the best friend banter...Gus: Rule number one, Shawn. No talking during Duos.Shawn: Gus, don't be a rabid porcupine. It's got the ingeniously absurd plot...Someone's out to get the snarky British talent-show judge, and Shawn Spen-star and Gus "GT" Showbiz have to go undercover to find out who, and stop him. Only the fake-Psychic duo could work an 80's pop contest into their amateur detecting gig, and do it in style. Seriously, can you imagine the Mentalist pulling this off? And to top it all off, it's got the perfect climax to a perfect set-up...Cut scene to the American Duos finals, where Shawn stands alone in the smoke and lights at center-stage. He has the hair, the earring, the ratty gloves, the perfect grimacing sultriness. OMG, could this get any better? Yep. Enter Gus. The crowd roars. He's got the hair too, and the tight pants, and he's got the moves. And when he kicks up his spats, I about die laughing. This may be just a spoof of the knock-off of the other knock-off of the original knock-off of that other show. But dude. It is perfect.

my favorite would have to be Black and Tan where they both portray models. thanks for the giveawayswps646@aol.com

Favorite Shawn and Gus moment of mine is a recent episode were Shawn and Gus play cowboy and blacksmith I love how lasater gets pooped on my Shawn all the time and how his kid nickname was binky that's great haha but it was just funny when Shawn was like you've never killed a man and lasater said yes I do and Shawn replys ya but not pretened kill all day long it was just a funny scene
| Sep 1, 2009 6:17PM EDT
You know, I can take or leave Shawn, but Gus? GUS IS AWESOME. My favorite moment was from the airplane crash episode, when Shawn was expressing - how would you feel if you were found by some random white guy and black guy to carry out your final wishes? Gus' response? "You think I'm some random black guy?!" I snickered. A lot.
| Sep 1, 2009 4:55PM EDT
loved when they had to blend in at the hopital, and gus was dressed as a candy striper

I love their episode Extradition: British Columbia. It was awesome to see Sean have a nemesis that was of him!
| Aug 31, 2009 8:55PM EDT

| Aug 31, 2009 11:21AM EDT
Loved the "American Duos" Episode. It made me lol.
| Aug 30, 2009 11:58PM EDT
One of my favorite Shawn and Gus detective moments was in the first season episode, Weekend Warriors, when Shawn and Gus are at the re-enactment. They both figure out the case at the same moment and then they start arguing about who figured it out first.
| Aug 30, 2009 9:35PM EDT
My fave episode is when they copied friday the 13th, very funny!

| Aug 27, 2009 2:39PM EDT
Great show love dule
| Aug 27, 2009 10:09AM EDT
Every episode of Psych features a "favorite moment" for me! For example, I loved the episode where Shawn and Gus attend a Comicon-type convention and Shawn convinces George Takai that he's his new assistant. Gus' horrified facial expressions are the icing on the cake! I LOVE Psych! Thanks.
| Aug 20, 2009 9:53PM EDT
My favorite moment is pretty much all the times that Shawn and Gus find a dead body and then end up running away screaming like girls. Whenever that happens it just makes me laugh so hard! Psych is great! Thanks for the contest!
| Aug 19, 2009 5:12PM EDT
My fave Shawn and Gus moment is in “Tuesday the 17th” when Gus says he isn’t going after Jason because “I’ve seen enough slasher movies to know that when the brother goes off to the woods he doesn’t even sort of come back!” jelly15301@gmail.com
| Aug 19, 2009 11:15AM EDT
The comic genius of Psych doesn't really come from the plot or the sleuthing action, but instead from the adorable bromance of Shawn and Gus and the sheer brilliance of the actors who carry it off. Not even the most skeptical spoil-sport could help laughing at all of their "act natural!" poses, or their constant '80s movie references that make sense to no one but them. I laughed myself silly when Shawn made fun of watching The Mentalist, a show which totally lifted its premise from Psych--but somehow forgot to include that whole "funny" thing. And the psych-outs show that Shawn and Gus are just as entertaining together off the screen as they are on air. That said, the fake psychic sleuthery does give more opportunities than your average bromance for the dynamic duo to play up the side-splitting spontenaity of their relationship, placing eachother in hilariously awkward situations and constantly making you ask, "Did they _really_ just do that??" The veterinary clinic scene in "Forget Me Not" left me more gasping for breath between guffaws than laughing out loud, when Shawn made Gus improv an African doctor who speaks only with clicks. The set-up was a good joke, but Gus's face was priceless. And what other show but Psych could ever dream up a scene where the main character tries to convince his best friend that a T-Rex was the murderer--and he's right? But Psych is at its ingeniously comic best, in my opinion, in season 1's episode "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, He Loves Me, Oops, He's Dead." A black guy walks into a tanning salon. 'Nuff said.
| Aug 16, 2009 11:36AM EDT
It was fun watching him make fun of the mentalist.
| Aug 14, 2009 11:54PM EDT
So far, I think my absolute favorite Shawn and Gus moment has to be one from season 3, episode 4-- The Greatest Adventure in the History of Basic Cable. While this episode has numerous hilarious scenes, my favorite is at the beginning when Shawn's uncle Jack first arrives and gives Shawn and Gus gifts... specifically the two masks supposedly from Machu Picchu, which they love. He hands each of them a tribal mask, and they simultaneously look at them and swap them. Then, they put them to their faces and make something like growling sounds... still being completely serious. Things move on, the conversation continues, but Gus and Shawn still look at each other and put the masks on again... they're like two little kids, and it's pretty much one of the funniest things ever. Even though it's a brief, somewhat simple moment, it's hard for me to describe how awesome, adorable, and hilarious I find this scene. Furthermore, to add to its appeal, it occurs in between a classic frightened-girl scream from Gus and a Wow Wow Wubbzy reference from Shawn. I actually think I had to pause and re-watch the entire sequence several times in order to fully appreciate each aspect of it. Basically, the entire episode is one of the best Psych episodes I've seen, and I'd definitely recommend it... even if just for the mask role-playing between Shawn and Gus, it would be worth watching.
| Aug 14, 2009 1:01PM EDT
There are too many to pick one... but I liked when Shawn and Gus go on American Duos and sing ... I also love anytime they scream like girls.
| Aug 12, 2009 8:46PM EDT
I love when shawn and gus are looking at the apartment of the dead guy in the episode 9 lives hehe Shawn Spencer: You take cats?Wes Hiltonbock: Uh, yeah, I guess so. You two guys have a cat?Shawn Spencer: We do, actually. It sort of like our child.Wes Hiltonbock: I see. How you guys, uh, know each other?Burton 'Gus' Guster: We're partners.Wes Hiltonbock: Gotcha.Burton 'Gus' Guster: Oh, no, no.Wes Hiltonbock: It's fine, really, I'm totally fine.Burton 'Gus' Guster: No, we're partners in our private...Shawn Spencer: - relationship. Believe it, it's been a while. We finish each other's sentences. So, tell me, Wes, uh, why would you want to give up such a handsome apartment? Do you, uh, do you not like it anymore? Ooh, Gus, good news, shower for two.Wes Hiltonbock: Uh. that was super funny! poor gus.
| Aug 11, 2009 9:20PM EDT
My favorite shawn gus moment was when shawn fooled gus(and gus' boss) to believe that his boss' house was haunted... The plan may have been the most complex and funny plan ever... he knew that gus wanted to leave the psych agency so in an attempt to make gus's boss let him out whenever shan wants, he haunts gus's boss's house... Of course all of shawn's plans work somehow, but this time the haunting failed and if it was not for the blackmail gus would have lost his job all together...
| Aug 11, 2009 7:15PM EDT
I love the scenes where Shawn cries out like a little girl. The scene with the mummy was very funny. Unafraid to cry out like a girl! lol
| Aug 11, 2009 2:08PM EDT
enter me thanks
| Aug 10, 2009 10:18PM EDT
I don't watch the show enough to have a favorite moment
| Aug 10, 2009 10:04AM EDT
It's when Shawn helps Gus talk to a pretty girl
| Aug 10, 2009 2:09AM EDT
I forget which episode it was, but the time that Gus and Shawn were arguing about whether Grimace is black had me almost in tears laughing.
| Aug 10, 2009 1:26AM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus moment is in the episode "Zero to Murder in Sixty Seconds." I love the part when Gus is screaming at Shawn in his car and Shawn turns down the radio so the girls in the car beside them can hear Gus yell, "I'll be naked and unashamed under my robe while they rub little Shawn down!" HILARIOUS.
| Aug 10, 2009 12:26AM EDT
It's ridiculously hard to choose, but my favorite episode ever is "Poker? I Barely Know Her," so I'll pick from there. I LOVE when Shawn finds Gus' user account on the poker website and pretends to be a woman. Best line: "Oh Gus, don't be a gooey chocolate chip cookie." And I LOVE that same scene when Gus pushes Shawn out of the chair... he lets out this scream that's hilarious!
| Aug 9, 2009 11:58PM EDT
I think one of my favorite detective moments between Shawn and Gus would have to be when they are in the field with all of the holes in the episode "Sixtyfive Million Years Off" and they keep talking about the movie "Holes" and can't remember the name of it. I just love the fact that Dule Hill was in that movie and they kept referencing it, hahaha.
| Aug 9, 2009 11:05PM EDT
Truer Lies, Season 3. "Looks like paper, actually our life savings!"
| Aug 9, 2009 10:59PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus moment is definitely in Weekend Warriors, Season One. The two of them are on a Civil War reenactment battle field in a tent, in full costume, though Gus looks more like a marching band leader. The two of them just figured out the crime, and are jumping up and down yelling "I solved the crime!" "No, I did!" "Tap tap, no take backs!" There's nothing quite as amusing as two grown men, in costume, jumping up and down and arguing like children
| Aug 9, 2009 9:45PM EDT
One of my favorite things about Psych is how Shawn and Gus are always making references to 80's movies, so of course my favorite episode was "Murder?...Anyone?...Anyone?...Bueller?" I mean who else can use John Hughes to solve a crime? Also when he asked his dad for his underwear I nearly choked, I was laughing so hard. Another random reference that I thought was awesome was during "Christmas Joy" when they do the dances from "A Charlie Brown Chirstmas" after saving Christmas, amazing. =)
| Aug 9, 2009 9:00PM EDT
Although Shawn and Gus have some pretty AMAZING moments together in the show, I'd have to say my very favorite moments are during the Psych Outs, usually when they spontaneously burst into song. They are such a good duo and their singing skills amaze me! haha I think they should sing in every episode. Who votes that Psych starts a band on the side?! Anyone?! Anyone?! They have my vote for sure.
| Aug 9, 2009 6:41PM EDT
my favorite shawn and gus moment has to be when they audition for the american idol like show. the psych outs are hilarious and it is just ridiculous everything they do or say with their costuming and role playing. I just adore how well they play off one another!
| Aug 9, 2009 5:50PM EDT
My favourite Sean and Gus moment is when Sean is showing Gus the picture of his wedding that Gus wasn't invited to. You can't go wrong with a skydiving rabbi
| Aug 9, 2009 3:06PM EDT
Me again! I watched another episode, like i do everyday, and today I watched "Murder...Anyone...Bueller!" and i have to say i love it when everyone keeps saying "No body, no crime" and shawn is like "why dont u just put it on a tshirt" " there has to be a poster around here somewhere" its super funny. Trust me, im a big fan. And those prizes would mean the world to me. i would actually own my very own psych merch, because my mom won't buy me any. Thanks so much. And i hope i get chosen. NO BODY. NO CRIME.
| Aug 9, 2009 1:56PM EDT
I loved when Shawn saved his mother.
| Aug 9, 2009 12:27PM EDT
Wow. Those are great prizes. Ugh. This is hard but i will have to say the episode called "An Evening with Mr. Yang". When Shawn and Gus are running after the train. Then of course Abigail calls and Shawn answers it. Abigail assumes that he will blow off the date as usual, but he doesn't. When there running and then Shawn gives the phone to Gus i thought that was super funny. Sorry i couldn't give any dialogue, i havent watched that episode in like a month or so. If i had to choose another one, it would be "Lassie did a Bad Bad Thing". I like the end when Shawn says "Former lovers? Really?" That was my favorite part. Even though Gus wasn't there at the moment, it was kinda like a Shawn and Lassie type detail. Then when Henry, Jules, and Gus walk in i like the part how Henry cares so much for Shawn and asks how he is going and Shawn says he is ok. Then Shawn almost faints. Trust me, im a big fan. And those prizes would mean the world to me. i would actually own my very own psych merch, because my mom won't buy me any. Thanks so much. And i hope i get chosen.
| Aug 9, 2009 11:59AM EDT
There are so many favorite moments, it's hard to pick one... but I love Sean (and Gus) of the Dead. It has so many great Sean and Gus interactions. Gus afraid to enter the mummy room; Sean credited with the dinosaur discovery and Gus only getting a photo credit; Sean trying to beat the cameras while Gus watches; Sean getting them locked in the museum; Gus running from the museum when the guard unlocks it; Gus' 20 point turn to follow the mummy (hilarious); And finally best of all when they find the mummy in the van and Sean ends up being the one afraid and taking off... leaving Gus behind. Too funny!
| Aug 9, 2009 11:24AM EDT
It's so hard to choose just one moment! I really love in "American Duos" when they're trying to be stealth in the hallway. The motorized wheelchair goes by and they just press themselves up against the wall with 'intense' expressions on their faces while the person just keeps going. I laugh every time. Another is the entire "An Evening with Mr. Yang" episode. The way Shawn & Gus dealt with the stress and ended up saving the day was awesome. The most dramatic episode they've ever done, and still it didn't lose any of the hilarity or take anyone out of character at all. It was brilliant, all around.
| Aug 8, 2009 10:58PM EDT
The Spelling Bee episode is my favorite...I was laughing watching it all by myself!
| Aug 8, 2009 3:53PM EDT
Favorite moment was from Christmas Joy. Shawn was consistently checking Gus's sister Joy and sidelining Gus when Gus kept asking what he was looking at.
| Aug 8, 2009 12:11PM EDT
I'd have to go with when Shawn was trying to convince Gus that the murderer was a T-rex. :D
| Aug 8, 2009 2:30AM EDT
As much as I love Shawn and Gus, Tim Curry stole the show on "American Duos" - and yes I love Tim to death so I am biased. THe whole dinner scene - the banter and Shawn's Tim-like "NO" bring a big smile to my face everytime I think about it. Ep was great tonight!
| Aug 8, 2009 2:25AM EDT
In Zero to Murder in 60 secs, when Shawn & Gus investigate Jonny G at the chop shop. Gus excitedly plays along with the lingo & mannerisms. Of course, then he finds out why they were so welcome: Shawn had the Echo pimped out! So typical of Shawn's methods, so against Gus's nature, so indicative of why the show works.
| Aug 7, 2009 9:17PM EDT
So many to pick from, but Shawn on a date at the drive ins and Gus in the back seat is classic!
| Aug 7, 2009 8:34PM EDT
"An Evening With Mr Yang." Gus trying to humor/distract everywhile while Shawn tries to figure it out. It's funny because he it's so hilariously awkward. :)
| Aug 7, 2009 7:25PM EDT
my 3 favorite moments1) Forget me NotShawn: Hello I am Dr. Hans Jorgensen and this is Dr. Mc*clicks tongue several times* tock2) The Old and the RestlessShawn: I am dr. Howser and this is my personal candy striper knick knack..3)Gus walks into a bankI loved how worried shawn was about gus other than that just all there obscure references and the funny dialogue is great
| Aug 7, 2009 6:00PM EDT
I WANT TO WIN THIS
| Aug 7, 2009 4:07PM EDT
combination of two moments really, but since there both part of the same episode and expressly linked im sure it counts. season 2 episode 2, 65-million years off. first moment: 04:20 into the episode starting with "i'm truly stumped" till about 06:20 with "what? chief?", where shawn essentially blames a tyrannosaurus-rex for the murder a john doe, of course being laughed at by lassiter and dismissively ignored by everyone else, including gus. then, picking back up again at about 39:30 with "killed by dinosaur" to "yea, i'll take the hug" a minute ten later (40:40), where lassiter basically says he'll quit 'cuz incapable of accusing mythic beings as the culprits of crimes.
| Aug 7, 2009 3:04AM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus Detective moment would have to be during Season 3 Episode 16 called "An Evening With Mr. Yang." The part of the show that I loved was when Shawn and Gus are having breakfast at 12:30 pm. Gus knows how stupid it is to have breakfast at 12:30pm, and he knows that it is incredibly disgusting to eat pancakes or eggs for lunch. Shawn and Gus argue in this part of the episode and it is hilarious. This would be one of my main favorite Shawn and Gus Detective moments.
| Aug 7, 2009 2:38AM EDT
My Favorite Shawn and Gus moments were in the episode "Earth, Wind and ... Wait For It." Wow, I laughed so hard during this episode I basically cried.Shawn: “We have found our arsonurderer. “Gus: “What? Uh-uh.”Shawn: “Fir-ars-man? Senor Pantalones de Fuego?”And later on...Lassiter: “This could be our killer”Shawn: “Furderer.” [weird looks from Gus, Jules, and Lassiter] “Fire murderer. Furderer.”
| Aug 7, 2009 12:13AM EDT
"Scary Sherry: Bianca's toast"My favorite Shawn and Gus moment was when they were helping Jules while she was undercover. They were talking with all of the sorority girls when the lights went out and a voice told them to get out. Shawn and Gus ran away screaming like little girls :)
| Aug 6, 2009 10:59PM EDT
'Disco Didn't Die, it Was Murdered'. That episode is full of jive, and Shawn and Gus are awesome in it.
| Aug 6, 2009 8:48PM EDT
I absolutely loved when Gus was on a tiny motorbike, and Shawn said, "That is the sexiest thing I have ever seen."
| Aug 6, 2009 6:01PM EDT
gus wouldn't cross the room to look at the mummy mverno@roadrunner.com
| Aug 6, 2009 4:48PM EDT
Probably in Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast, when they run out of the sorority house screaming and then Gus drives off without Shawn. Just thinking about that makes me die laughing!
| Aug 6, 2009 3:06PM EDT
I love in Scary Sherry when everyone keeps asking Gus if he is "Bud" from the Cosby show. Hilarious!
| Aug 6, 2009 2:48PM EDT
Definitely the scene in Spellingg Bee, where the guys get caught in the announcer's booth, and Shawn impersonates him in order to buy himself some time to investigate. The whole ~banana~ thing had me laughing so hard I cried.
| Aug 6, 2009 1:52PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus detective moment... man, that's a tough question. But I would probably have to say the scene in Shawn (and Gus) of the Dead, where Shawn and Gus are approaching the van. The whole dialogue back and forth ('How sure are you?' 'Fairly to pretty damn'), Gus' face in horror, and the fact that Shawn is pretty much already gone after running away was fantastic!! I absolutely love that scene, and that episode is probably my favorite for Season Two.There are so many other classic and amazing moments, but that one is definitely one my favorites!
| Aug 6, 2009 1:33PM EDT
Ditto to DaveMcD: My favorite Shawn and Gus moment is at the end of "Weekend Warriors." The boys are in period uniform in a tent on the reenactors' battlefield. They both solve the crime in their heads at the same time and dance crazily, but silently, in victory. They then proceed to argue about who solved the case first. Classic Shawn and Gus! I love that and the Ba-na-na scene from Spelling Bee. It's so hard to choose just one moment!
| Aug 6, 2009 12:52PM EDT
I love Shawn's Captain Crunch quote!
| Aug 6, 2009 12:15PM EDT
My favorite Psych moment (so far) is the episode with the dolphin being killed, where Shawn rips off his pants to reveal a bathing suit. He has "Chippendales" rip-away pants?
| Aug 6, 2009 10:05AM EDT
My ALL TIME favorite Shawn and Gus moment is in "Scary Sherry" when they run out of the sorority house screaming "We're gonna die" and Gus can't get his car doors unlocked/open, Shawn is jumping up and down by the passenger side door screaming "Open the door", Juliet comes out of the house and yells for them, Shawn stops and then Gus realizes the car window is open. HILARIOUS!!!! I could watch that part of the show over and over again, plus "Scary Sherry" is the funniest/best episode yet.
| Aug 6, 2009 7:32AM EDT
whenn shawn is locating the body at the dinosaur dig and keeps prolonging the suspense
| Aug 6, 2009 2:37AM EDT
Ugh, it's so hard to pick just one. A scene that stands out in my head is the one where they figure out who the perp is in "The Old and the Restless"--their victory dances were cracktastically hilarious (as was the Psych-Out for that episode). Something else in that episode that never fails to make me laugh is this little exchange: Shawn: ...at least that gives us the how, now we've just gotta figure out the why; which reminds me, Gus, would you please get us those tickets for The Who?Gus: Where?[acknowledging pointy fingers of awesome] And Shawn's refusal to give his dad a fist-bump during the getaway. :D
| Aug 6, 2009 1:57AM EDT
I love the moment that Shawn and Gus go running from the sorority house in "Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast". The screams - the hand through the window - and best of all: the look on Gus' face as he drives away. Priceless.*fist bump*
| Aug 6, 2009 1:43AM EDT
There are so many, but since a number of them have already been said... I'll go with: the scene in Any Given Friday Night 10pm,9pm Central where Gus tells Shawn that Vlad wasn't murdered, and Shawn goes: "What? Say that again. Use a Jamaican accent." I know if I tried to transcribe Gus' actual words I'll totally butcher the line (Me say Vlad no murder...), but his accent was absolutely AWESOME, and the whole thing reached a new level of hilarity with Shawn dancing along to the cadence of Gus' speech... that is until Gus realizes what Shawn is doing. hee. [ That is also definitely one of my all-time favorite Gus moments-- my love for his character totally skyrocketed with that scene.]
| Aug 6, 2009 1:25AM EDT
My favorite detective moment is in "And Down the Stretch Comes Murder" - mainly because of the multiple flashbacks. The fact that all Shawns and Guses appear in one of the flashbacks is seriously one of the best things that the writers have done so far. Also, this is a rare episode where both Shawn and Gus bring information to the table. Granted, Shawn is focusing on the "second spitter" case, where Gus is on the actual paying case, but they both have information relevant to what they are working on. Gus gets his information about the shaman staff and information about the poisons and Shawn (still) has his Shawn-vision to ultimately solve the case, especially with the four different races and their similarities. Plus Henry gets Shawn to wear one of his much-mocked shirts, which is always fun.
| Aug 6, 2009 12:45AM EDT
My favourite Shawn/Gus moment would have to be in Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast.(after they've done the screaming/running scared to the car and Gus drives away without Shawn)Shawn walks in and says "Congrats, dude, I just got a fax saying the city of Santa Barbara has voted you Exorcist of the Year."He starts clapping then Gus says "Make jokes, but I know who was right behind me the whole way to the car."Shawn says "I had to be. You were my ride home."Gus isn't fooled. "Shawn, you were screaming too."Shawn tries to play it off and says "Yeah, I was screaming 'Gus, stop! let's be brave!'"That parts just classic Shawn and Gus 'brother banter'. And really, it's that kind of stuff that makes the show, because it wouldn't be near as funny if they weren't such good friends.

My favorite detective moment is absolutely in Lights...Camera...Homicidio! when Shawn figures out that it is the kraft services woman who is trying to kill all of Contessa's enemies. Trying to explain in Spanglish while continue to stay in soap opera character, all while Gus eats meatballs.... amazing. My favorite all-time psych favorite moment, however, is in Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast, when Gus and Shawn are sitting at the table and Shawn's dad reveals that the girl never jumped and he has no idea how that rumor started. Shawn and Gus look at each other, Shawn whispers "Dude, I can't believe we started and urban legend." and they fist bump. My little sister and I will often just quote that line to each other, seemingly out of nowhere, followed by the obligatory fist bump. It never fails to bring a smile to our faces.

One favorite Pysch moment? Just one? We'll start with "From the Earth to Starbucks" when Gus doesn't think Shawn can really follow him without his (Gus) noticing.Gus says something about stealth and Shawn says something about a bobblehead. It's much funnier when they say it. 8]
| Aug 5, 2009 11:40PM EDT
Well, reading through all of these makes me want to watch Psych. Luckily I can right now!
| Aug 5, 2009 11:39PM EDT
Another favorite scene is During The Greatest Adventure In Basic Cable History when they are at the station trying to tell the police what occurred and Gus is complaining about his lost shoe and how what they offer him is not equal to the one he still wears. Later, of course you see how he lost his shoe. Another favorite scene is when Shaw, Gus and his uncle are all tied to a chair and Shawn finds out that Gus has another cell on him. Classic Shawn and Gus argument ensues. Terrific.

I'm going to have to go with 'Sixty Five Million Years Off,' each time that Shawn and Gus go through an investigation (the shed, the site of the dig), painstakingly cover it up, then go back again with the police. Although it makes me sad to see Gus lose all of the credit for his brilliance again and again (shed lock, anyone?), the tension it creates and the physical comedy of Dule Hill at these moments is just amazingly wonderful. Also, I saw it up above and have to mention my love of Gus and his stealth 'jackal' moves, specifically in 'From the Earth to Starbucks.' Great episode.
| Aug 5, 2009 11:32PM EDT
My favorite moment was during Scarry Sherry Bianca's toast. When Shawn's dad informs Shawn and Gus that Scarry Sherry didn't actual fall from the window. He mutters how that rumor started. And Shawn and Gus set aside their fears right away and are proud of themselves for starting an urban legend.
| Aug 5, 2009 11:26PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus moment has to be from the episode "Forget Me Not" when they both pretend to be doctors. The Dr. Mc *click click click* Tock joke is hilarious, along with Shawn's accent and the conversation between Shawn and Gus with the clicking and the animal noises and the squealing. Every time I see it I burst out laughing and a few times I've been on the verge of tears. It is always a pleasure to watch.
| Aug 5, 2009 11:10PM EDT
One of my favorite Shawn and Gus moments that comes to mind is when they are in a hospital and have to "blend in," both going into adjacent closets and coming out dressed as a doctor and a candy striper. Shawn was surprised that candy striper outfits were made for men and then Gus said there was a lawsuit! Then later Shawn introduces Gus as his personal candy striper, Knick-Knack! LOVED it!

One of my favorite(since I have an untold amount) Shawn and Gus moments is from Black and Tan: A Crime of Fashion. The point at which they are about the enter the event and they give their names "Black and Tan". The bouncer gets their names wrong and Shawn's response is: "I'm Black. He's Tan. You should be ashamed of yourself. And your family." As they stroll into the club. Great facial expressions from both of them! As usual. And I can't leave out all of the "Act Natural" moments the two have!
| Aug 5, 2009 10:17PM EDT
One of my favorite Shawn and Gus detective moments is in Scary Sherry when they run to Gus' car screaming like little girls. Seeing them jump up and down like that is one of the funniest things I've ever seen!
| Aug 5, 2009 10:11PM EDT
I literally quote Psych everyday! I'm currently watching "Ghosts!"* (the episode where Gus's company wants to fire him) and the part where Shawn calls the dog an a-hole has me ROTFLMAO! *Part of my week long marathon of Psych episodes. I'm so disappointed in USA for not having their own marathon but props for showing some love to my second favorite show before the start of it's final season--Monk.

Another great moment actually came from the kids that play little shawn and gus. At the beginning of Tuesday the 17th, gus ditches little shawn to compete in the pinata contest with someone else. When henry comes to pick them up they get in the truck and little shawn tells gus, "If your looking for your pocket knife, its still in my back where you left it." The kid who plays little shawn in hilarious, much better than the original kid they had for the pilot.

There are so many classic Shawn/Gus moments, it is really hard to choose, but when I hear the word "psych", my mind immediately and simultaneously flashes to 3 scenes:1. The confusion with their model names in "Black and Tan (A Crime of Fashion)".2. "Banana." - "Spelling Bee"3. The Scream and run move they pull in "Scary Sherry Bianca's Toast".
| Aug 5, 2009 9:40PM EDT
My favorite Shawn/Gus detective moment (and there are so many, it's hard to choose) would probably be from "Meat is Murder, But Murder is also Murder" when they are doing the wrap-up to point out the killer and trying to not let the Psychic cat out of the bag for either Gus's Uncle Burton or the SBPD or the newspaper staff. I remember watching it for the first time while I was lying in bed and laughing so hard I was almost crying by the end of it.

I love the Psych-Outs, those are always funny and even though its more of the actors messing up you can so tell that they were meant for these roles. If I had to choose an episode I would say it is the episode "And Down the Stretch Comes Murder" where you find out that like the one crime/event that Shawn couldn't solve about the spitball was by Gus. Such an personality switch that gave Gus more character I thought.... and Shawn using the word dastardly... totally helped me on a test. I love it: Shawn: You did that? And you never told me about it? Gus: You don't know all my secrets, Shawn. I guess I too am a man of untold mysteries. Shawn: Burton Guster, I am seeing you in a completely different light. You are, dare I say, dastardly. Gus: Hey, I didn't want Ms. Lepky getting hurt or anything, but when Jimmy got blamed, my mouth was shut. Shawn: Unbelievable.
| Aug 5, 2009 9:14PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus moment would have to be from the Season one finale: "Scary Sherry Bianca's Toast." The first time I ever saw, Psych was the season one finale and I was sold after that episode and the one part that really got me, was when Shawn & Gus where at the sorority house and the "ghost" was taunting them all and the camera cuts to where Gus was and all you see is his teacup and you cut to Juliet and Shawn is gone. Then you cut again and they're screaming their hearts out running out of the house, towards Gus' car. I thought that scene was so great and it really captured Shawn & Gus perfectly. They haven't exactly been the bravest people but they hide it well... that was one of those times, it wasn't hid too well and Juliet really got to see their chicken side. It made for great entertainment. It also said a lot about Gus... he left Shawn. lol
| Aug 5, 2009 9:13PM EDT
My favorite is when Shawn reinacts the flashdance scene in the records office. This would be sooo cool for who ever wins.
| Aug 5, 2009 8:53PM EDT
My favorite Shawn & Gus detective moment is when Shawn builds a reconstruction of their elementary school classroom to attempt to determine who the "second shooter" of the spitball was, which culminates in a sequence where adult Shawn meets young Shawn & adult Gus meets young Gus, and we find out that Gus is actually pretty good at keeping secrets.
| Aug 5, 2009 8:34PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus moment was American Duos finale when they performed on stage.Classic 80s mashup that epitomizes the entire show. Or any moments in the Blueberry.
| Aug 5, 2009 8:31PM EDT
I really like the episode clip where Gus' Uncle Burton thinks Gus is the psychic and Gus and Shawn have to trick the police and Gus' uncle into thinking they're each the psychic. I love how they both keep doing different things to "pass" the psychic readings to each other
| Aug 5, 2009 8:24PM EDT
Um, who can pick? There's just way too many! Anything from Tuesday the 17th gets my vote. Or anything where they scream like girls.
| Aug 5, 2009 8:22PM EDT
Picking from one of my top selections: it would have to be the episode of "9 lives" where the cat, the witness, can talk to Shawn and then gets to ride shotgun in Gus's car.best parts:*Juliet: 'it appears to be a suicide...'Shawn: 'the cat doesn't think so.'*Shawn: 'oh Gus! good news- shower for two'Later in the episode, they rent out a broom closet (dial-a-psychic) to spy on the stress help line down the hallway. Gus calls the company and the agent, Rory, is more than unhelpful causing Gus begins to take inventory of his whole life.*Gus: 'i like water sports'Rory: 'like drowning?'Gus: 'What!?'*Gus: 'pharmaceutical sales? not sexy.'Then Rory's musical inspiration is show tunes. :)oh i could go on!! I dazzle! and I stretch!
| Aug 5, 2009 8:10PM EDT
Shawn + Gus + Pop Culture = Hilarity
| Aug 5, 2009 8:08PM EDT
I have so Many Shawn and Gus Moments it's not funny, i like the episode American Duos when they do that song at the end, and Gus is Michael Jackson!! :) It was Hilarious!!!
| Aug 5, 2009 8:03PM EDT
My favorite Gus and Shawn moment is in the Mummy episode when Gus would not cross the room to get a closer look of the Mummy. It was so funny
| Aug 5, 2009 7:48PM EDT
My fave Shawn and Gus moment is in “Tuesday the 17th” when Gus says he isn’t going after Jason because “I’ve seen enough slasher movies to know that when the brother goes off to the woods he doesn’t even sort of come back!” Not a detective moment, but awesome, and followed by the great detective moment when Shawn realizes he’s been set up and they are in “April Fool’s Day” instead of “Friday the 13th”. As a fan of slasher/horror films and a fan of Lassie this episode was a complete win!
| Aug 5, 2009 7:41PM EDT
How can you have just one? With Shawn always doing the detective work and Gus there to bring Shawn back down to earth at times, there can't be just one! The best one had to be the episode with the seal and Shawn sneaking into the aquarium after hours.
| Aug 5, 2009 7:34PM EDT
I'd have to say that it's a close tie between the scene from "Forget Me Not" when Shawn and Gus pretend to be veterinarians and they speak to each other in tongues and also the scene from "American Duos" where Shawn and Gus perform the famous Michael Jackson song for Nigel St. Nigel.
| Aug 5, 2009 7:25PM EDT
My absolute favorite detective moment was definitely when Shawn and Gus were sneaking down the hallway and had to freeze against the wall because the old man went by in a motor scooter and never even saw them.
| Aug 5, 2009 7:16PM EDT
There's so, so many that are so, so good. But I do love the moments where Shawn, perfectly seriously, tells people how he does his psychic tricks, like in "Woman Seeking Dead Husband – Smokers Okay, No Pets" when Shawn tells the convicts how he's guessing the fingers they're holding up. Shawn: Now it’s technically two and a half fingers. And the guy with the gun is flipping me the bird.Convict: You can see my fingers, can’t you?Shawn: No. No. Yes, yes, yes, I can. It’s the reflection of the TV bouncing off the mirror to the water pitcher here.Convict: All right. Okay, maybe not. We’re gonna try this one more time. And then moves in front of Gus, and Gus tells Shawn.
| Aug 5, 2009 7:11PM EDT
How on earth am I supposed to pick my favorite moment? From Gus's constant running from any type of danger, to their dancing, and to Shawn's sheer stupidity (in an endearing way). But if I must... I think it comes from Disco Didn't Die, It Was Murdered!. That entire episode was an amazing one. Or perhaps it was The Greatest Adventure in the History of Basic Cable... their epic search and all. I don't know. It's impossible.
| Aug 5, 2009 7:10PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus moment is in the episode Spelling Bee. Where they sneak into the booth and ask them to spell words. Everytime I'm at the store with a friend and we walk past the produce I go "Banana a fruit, and a pudding. A delicious pudding" Gus' face of horror at Shawn's sacrilege on his favorite "sport" is hilarious
| Aug 5, 2009 7:10PM EDT
Forget Me Not. The scene with the fake German accent! "SOO MUCH ABOUT?!"
| Aug 5, 2009 7:08PM EDT
My favorite Gus and Shawn moment is Shawn Vs The Red Phantom. Gus has so much knowledge to share with Shawn. It is also the beginning of "Magic Head." My second favorite would have to be Black and Tan where they both portray models. Kills me everytime!
| Aug 5, 2009 7:06PM EDT
I have a ton of favorite Psych moments, but I think one of my top favorites is in "65 Million Years Off" when Shawn and Gus are being shot at, when they both taking off running and Gus is screaming and Shawn yells, "Run like the wind Gus!" I also love the entire episode of "Tuesday the 17th"
| Aug 5, 2009 7:02PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus detective moment would have to be Shawn's incredible ability to recreate the *entire* battlefield in "Weekend Warriors" as Gus looks on in disbelief/amazement. Such a cool point in the show where the reinforced exactly what Shawn's abilities were all about.
| Aug 5, 2009 7:02PM EDT
my favorite Shawn and Gus moment? how can i possibly choose?? I would have to say in "Lassie Did a Bad Bad Thing" when Gus asked Shawn to flip the jackal switch. The look on Shawn's face and then the motions Gus did are hysterical!!
| Aug 5, 2009 7:01PM EDT
I think my favorite Psych detective moment is... its so hard to choose, they are all great! I particularly love the "The Jackal Has Arrived" moment in From Earth to the Starbucks - I laugh EVERY time i see that scene!
| Aug 5, 2009 6:58PM EDT
B-A-N-A-N-A, Can you use that is a sentence? Anna Banana listens to Venus by Bananarama...Banana!!! Love that one too.
| Aug 5, 2009 6:58PM EDT
In "The Greatest Adventure in the History of Basic Cable" when they're in the interrogation room.
| Aug 5, 2009 6:58PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus moment is at the end of "Weekend Warriors." The boys are in period uniform in a tent on the reenactors' battlefield. They both solve the crime in their heads at the same time and dance crazily, but silently, in victory. They then proceed to argue about who solved the case first. Classic Shawn and Gus!
| Aug 5, 2009 6:55PM EDT
Favorite Shawn and Gus moment from Psych: When in "Tuesday the 17th" they psych each other about the true nature of the camp. That just was classic.
| Aug 5, 2009 6:53PM EDT
My favorite moment with Shawn and Gus was on the episode "Spelling Bee" When Shawn started announcing the shopping list including deodorant I about died laughing. It brough tears to my eyes. So much so that I downloaded it off of iTunes and played it for all of my friends. "Can you use that in a sentence?" hehahahahah!
| Aug 5, 2009 6:53PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus moment is from "The Old and the Restless" when shawn is dancing with a suspect and Gus has to dance with a very clueless (er sweet) old lady who ends up falling asleep on him (as Shawn is ignoring him natch). Then when they are talking after Shawn and his Dad are discussing things they learned and Gus says, "I learned old people are heavy" made my cry I was laughing so hard.
| Aug 5, 2009 6:51PM EDT
In "Meat is Murder, But Murder is Also Murder", when Shawn and Gus join psychic forces in order to impress Gus' uncle Burton and point out the killer. The physical comedy is terrific, and their banter is just hilarious.
| Aug 5, 2009 6:48PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus moment would have to be when Gus tricked Shawn into going to a funeral for the Sea Lion. The look on Shawn's face was priceless when he realized that he went to a funeral
| Aug 5, 2009 6:46PM EDT
My favourite Shawn and Gus detective moment is basically the entire episode "An Evening with Mr. Yang". Although Shawn was doing most of the actual detective work, Gus's attempts to lighten everyone's moods by doing what Shawn normally would were hysterical. My favourite episode thus far!
| Aug 5, 2009 6:09PM EDT
My favorite Shawn/Gus moment has to be in "From Earth to Starbucks" when Gus goes into "Jackel Mode" trying to prevent Shawn from tailing him. Then he gets to the observatory and Shawn is already at the front desk waiting for him. Shawn - "Hold on sir...(picking up the phone)Yes, the Jackel has arrived." makes me laugh every time.
| Aug 5, 2009 5:52PM EDT
Well, my favorite detective moment is from Scarry Sherry Bianca's toast. When Shawn and gus come running and screaming from the house. lol, And when Gus drove off leaving Shawn behind was the funniest moment of the whole show(so far). Unless you actively need rescuing by one, grown men screaming like girls is just funny.
| Aug 5, 2009 5:19PM EDT
My favorite Shawn and Gus detective moment would definitely have to be from the episode American Duos. I had already enjoyed the series, but their audition pretty much made this show my all time favorite. Of course they chose the classic '80's hit: "Take On Me" and they did such a terrible job singing it, creating basic comedic genius. Shawn Spenstar and Gus T. T. Showbiz made me laugh throughout the entire episode. Shawn's back and forth between Tim Curry's Nigel St. Nigel was pure hilarity. This episode is one of the best and one of the most memorable episodes.
