FlashForward Pilot: Will FlashForward Really be the New Lost? - Featured

Since the cryptic promos aired during the Lost season finale, the buzz has been all about how FlashForward could be the new Lost!

Conveniently, FlashForward has premiered during the season that will be Lost's final season, giving it the perfect in for getting paired with Lost, then taking over for Lost next season with FlashForward already nicely established.

So what do you think now that you've gotten to see the Pilot? Is FlashForward as awesome as Lost? Is it thrilling enough to replace it, or do you feel like it's not actually that similar or is too similar (note Penny, Charlie, time flashes, an Oceanic Air billboard...)?

I'm giving it a tentative thumbs up. I liked the pilot, and feel they really have room for development, as well as the addition of new and interesting characters. I'll keep watching.

The cast is pretty sick. I'm VERY down with this show. The next Lost?? Too soon to say, but it's definitely going to be something to watch in the same genre. :)

I thought that the pilot was fairly boring until the end, and the Lost pilot was far more interesting so I'm going to say for now that it's not the next Lost but here's to hoping that I start liking it more.

I agree...it was decent enough for me to continue watching (for now), but I don't think it did a good job with the setup in the first 15-20 minutes, and aside from some good lines here and there, the writing was not consistent. For me, this pilot epi was pretty anticlimactic, after all the promotion and hype, and the main thing it had going for it was the concept (which I'll admit is pretty intriguing). With better writing, and the introduction of more interesting characters, I believe it could be a great show. Is it Lost's successor? We'll see after/if some improvements are made.

This is a good show, but I wonder just how good it could be if "Darlton"(lost writers) were the ones writing it. Hopefully these writers can live up to that standard.

The pilot was interesting, but it is definitely not the next Lost. If anything the two shows' concepts are too alike, and will likely turn off any hardcore Lost fans because of this. I'm not saying that I won't give it a chance, but it's like watching that stupid CW Vampire show because you like True Blood or Twilight.

Call me crazy, but it remindes me of Heroes, if of anything at all. "Save the cheerleader, save the world"-like. We will see...

i am unconvinced by the pilot it seems to me the show shouldhve premiered with a two hour ep i found the setup very rushed and lacking in maturity when you compare it to losts pilot its not in the same hemisphere A major concern i have isthe ambiguity of the flash rules because when you set rules in a show lke this where we the audience know whats going to happen to these characters from the first episode the options for the chars development are hindered by time constrantsi liken it to a drawing where normally you draw the outline first then shade in later with this show the writers have drawn a couple of half shapes and tried to shade them in already Darlton would have made this show great without the eventual plot holes i can see on the horizon for this show i will however watch to see if the experience improves over the coming few episodes

It looks like a great show! Different than Lost...it's like all the difficult pieces that must be placed together, like on Lost, are being placed together for me! So far, so good!
