Dolly Week continued on American Idol as Dolly Parton performed, and the contestants discovered just how badly Dolly Week bashed or helped out their stardom dreams.
No surprises with most of the kids heading to the safe couch, but wait!
We thought Kristy Lee Cook was safe because country music is her wheel house, right?? No such luck.
Kristy showed up to greet Ryan with a piece of paper, ready to label one of those dreaded stools her own - and so off she went, just as she thought.
She's not the strongest singer in the bunch, but if Kristy can't avoid the bottom three in a country-themed week, she's in some major trouble as things continue.
After a little chat with the now continually news featured David Cook confirming his trip to the hospital was not that big of a deal, and Jason Castro yet once again getting the threat of elimination cleared up within seconds, we were left with our bottom three. Poor, sweet, loving roomies Kristy Lee Cook, Brooke White, and Ramiele Malubay, all of whom seemed pretty expectant of their positions.
And Simon wasn't a bit shy about his expectation of it either as he said, yes, the voters were right on with this group. He does know only one goes on elimination nights, right? But I suppose we know by now Simon doesn't much care if he still has to face people after insulting them.
A surprise of this bottom three has to go to Brooke White though both she, the judges, and some fans seemed to expect it. It seems that along the way, Syesha Mercado, despite the fact that she's wonderful, has been less in favor than Brooke.
It did make for a much more sad and dramatic moment, though, to have three close roomies clinging to each other on stage as they waited for the results, and our darling Ramiele was sent home.
Tragic and sob-worthy? Well, yes to Ramiele and all the very close friends she's made. This is getting harder and harder as all these contestants become bff's - who would have thought, really.
But Ramiele has weakened instead of strengthened recently in the competition, so it seemed the right choice to go. Farewell, Ramiele, and just like the rest of the Idols, I'm sure we'll be seeing her again!
