Archer - Premieres January 14th on FX

Archer is an off-the-wall animated spy comedy set in the International Secret Intelligence Service where "espionage and global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other," according to FX. This edgy comedy is jam-packed with hilarious people voicing all the main characters including H. Jon Benjamin as Sterling Archer, Arrested Development's Jessica Walter as Archer's mom, Malory Archer, comedian Aisha Tyler as Archer's ex-girlfriend, 30 Rock's Chris Parnell as the new boyfriend, and Judy Greer as Malory's secretary.

Human Target - Premieres January 17th on FOX

Human Target stars Mark Valley, who you may recognize from Fringe, as Christopher Chance, a private contractor who is hired to protect clients by becoming the "human target" for whatever trouble is at hand. Other familiar faces include Pushing Daisies' Chi McBride and Watchmen's Jackie Earle Haley.

Life UneXpected - Premieres January 18th on The CW

This new series follows the story of Lux, a teenage girl who's been in foster care for 15 years and decides to become an emancipated minor. In the process, she meets her birth father who had no idea she existed, and her birth mother. When the judge decides she's not ready to be on her own, her birth parents are granted joint custody. Life UneXpected stars Brittany Robertson of Swingtown and Dan in Real Life as Lux, Kristoffer Polaha of Miss Guided and Tru Calling as Lux's birth dad, Shiri Appleby of Roswell and ER as birth mom, and Kerr Smith of Dawson's Creek and more as her birth mom's boyfriend.

The Deep End - Premieres January 21st on ABC

The Deep End follows young lawyers in their new jobs at one of L.A.'s most prestigious law firms. As RachelL says, this is basically Grey's Anatomy with lawyers. The show stars Matt Long from Jack & Bobby, Ben Lawson, Tina Majorino of Veronica Mars, Big Love and Napoleon Dynamite, Norbert Leo Butz, Leah Pipes of Life is Wild, and Billy Zane from Titanic and more, among others.

Caprica - Premieres January 22nd on Syfy

Caprica is a Battlestar Galactica prequel of sorts that takes place 58 years before the events of BSG. The story revolves around two families, the Graystones and the Adamas, and tells the story of how the Cylons were first created. Caprica stars Jericho's Esai Morales, Paula Malcomson of Deadwood, Alessandra Torresani or Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, ER and more, Sasha Roiz also from Terminator: TSCC plus The Mentalist and more, among others.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand - Premieres January 22nd on Starz

As you could probably imagine, this epic new Starz series follows the story of Rome's famous gladiator, Spartacus. There will be blood. There will be sand. Perhaps there will even be blood in the sand as Spartacus fights his intense arena battles as a gladiator. To name a few, the series stars Australian actor Andy Whitfield as Spartacus, and Lucy Lawless of Battlestar Galactica and Xena: Warrior Princess.

Miami Medical follows expert surgeons working in the trauma unit of a top hospital in Miami, Florida. Previously titled Miami Trauma then recently renamed Miami Medical, my guess is they wanted to distance themselves from the unsuccessful NBC fall medial drama, Trauma. The show stars Jeremy Northam of The Tudors, Omar Godding of the Barbershop series, Lana Parrilla from Spin City, Elisabeth Harnois who's appeared on One Tree Hill and various other shows, and Mike Vogel of Cloverfield and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
