What Show has your Favorite Notable Music? - Featured

I vote for Buffy for several reasons. Not only was the opening theme my favourite part of the show for years, but the featured bands were excellent. Also who could forget... "They got the mus-tard ooooooouuuuuuuttttttttttt!" (Once more with feeling has to be the best piece of musical television in existence)

Boston Legal should certainly deserve a mention.

Wow how are House, Bones and Criminal Minds not on the top 10? Had to laugh at Grey's Anatomy being named for helping Snow Patrol becoming big.

One Tree HillThey're soundtracks are great. I've discovered so many new artists from them that are incredible. I gotta say Greek has a pretty good one as well

What are you people talking about, this isnt even kind of close. It is Zach Braff picking the music for Scrubs hands down. Most shows, like all of the ones you listed, usually just play the newest music, Zach Braff actually hand picks specific songs that adds something to the scene it is in. Not to mention even that he and Scrubs have single handedly launched the careers of Joshua Radin, Carey Brothers, or Jay Clifford. One Tree Hill now uses Radin songs in their show a lot, well all of the credit for that good music being in their show has to go to Scrubs and Zach Braff because without him they wouldnt even of known about Radin. Now seemingly every show on televsion uses his songs. I cant tell you how many times I have heard a song on Scrubs that I have never heard before, then two weeks later every other show is now using that song too. Again, this isnt even close, It Scrubs, then everyone else is fighting for a distant distant second place.

These are all shows a girl can watch, "Gilmore Girls? Buffy? this is madness ok enough of the cynicism. House, Lost, Rescue Me,30 rock and Pushing Daisies all good shows and all great soundtracks that make you want to watch Scrubs is good too even if its got a terrible plot right now.

I think you forgot "Life" , that show has an amazing soundtrack and its one of the reasons it is so special, and have to say supernatural is the best one picking music for ts episodes!!! example kansas (every season finale) just amazing!

Oh yeah Life for sure and Fringe. The show definitely has JJ Abrams signature on it so story oriented and a good combination of the mystery of the week and suttle plot developments that are important to strengthening the story arc. The music is so thrilling and unique in the use of sounds.

Why is no one metioning South Park when it comes to music? the show had a lot of great songs and even albums(!) , and the film really was a musical, and a great one for that. In this list i vote for flight of the conchords, for building their songs into the show so good.

Smallville has had a fair few, but theres a scene with "It end's tonight" in that rocks!

i don't know why noone mentions chuck.In my opinion the songs ALWAYS fit the scene like a glove. But still, Overkill by colin hay in scrubs catched me from the first second. How they included him into that scene was just incredible and eventough he already was the leadsinger of a famous band it definetly helped imprinting his name into the scrubs-fans brains. I couldn't tell which series has the best music (to be true i don't know every series listed) but I can assure that Scrubs and Chuck have every right to be in that nominee-list. If documentaries count, I would add HistoryChannels currently airing "Evolve"-Series because the use of Dustbrothers Fightclub-theme in a Dokumentary about Evolution just rocks.

Having songs by people like Colin Hay is exactly why Scrubs is the best show for music, he doesnt just take what is the new music of the week. Plus the fact that it is the only show listed where the star of the show is actually the one picking the music. Remember, Braff won a grammy for the soundtrack he put together for Garden State. Scrubs is definitely the best show for music.

I always love the music in One Tree Hill. I also like songs in Grey's Anatomy, Chuck, and The OC (they had The Killers live!!). But I think you forgot Cold Case which always have great songs from when the murder happened.

Ilove the music they chose to accompany 'Life', and I'm surprised it's not on the list. Some of it was truly haunting.

Supernatural has the best soundtracks ever - hands down.Scrubs has some good music but mostly only near the end.Also Chuck has pretty good music in it too. Oh...RENEW CHUCK <3

I have to go with Chuck. I mean they have Jeffster perform songs like "Africa" by Toto or "Mr. Roboto" by Styx along with a lot of other great songs interspersed within the show. Also, Supernatural has a great rock vibe thanks to Jensen's character Dean. B.O.C., ACDC, Survivor, etc. Always placed brilliantly in the show too. The REO Speedwagon scene w/ Dean and Jo was hilarious. Lastly, Scrubs has an altogether and downright AWESOME soundtrack. I think it's my favourite because it has EVERYTHING. Zach Braff is seriously the best person ever for the songs he chooses. I mean, he has songs from Nena's "99 Luftballons" to Rhett Miller's song "Question" to the Eels and Cheap Trick. It has so many classic songs and even more unknown but superb ones. :) I've thought about this a lot. :D

One Tree Hill! There's always great music and I've discovered so much of my favorite songs because of the show :)

Grey's!!

How can no one mention Battlestar Galactica? It's one of the best TV dramas ever made and the music was a huge part that really helped build the series and characters. If you haven't seen the show, you have no clue what you're missing. Forget what you know about sci-fi cause this series gets rid of all the things that you hate and makes a great show about real characters and their problems. By far the best music for any TV show.

For me it's Moonlight. Though the show might be cancelled, it's the first television series that actually had me looking up songs from the various scenes and purchasing them. Another thing I liked about the show was that the songs they featured weren't usually mainstream. Excellent casting. Excellent music. If it wasn't for the writer's strike and a few dodgy scripts afterwards, I really think Moonlight would still be around today.

Oh, Supernatural has the best music.Scrubs has some good tunes too. :)
