Is it just me or should everyone be required to use air-quotes eveytime this shows title is uttered. Philanthrophy is something that is done to help someone, not to promote youself and give yourself frame and recognition. It is good that people in need will be getting some help, but it should not be done so someone can make a tv show out of it. I would ask, would this billionaire still be giving this needy people help if there were not cameras around, I would hope so, but these are the kinds of questions turning charity into a tv show will bring up. It is like the celebrities that work at a soup kitchen on thanksgiving, but bring a camera crew along to document it, come on, they are not there to do charity, they are there to promote themselves, and show everyone what good people they really are. I really hope I am wrong and his guy truely is only in it to help people, but until proved wrong, I have to think he is only doing it to try and become the next Donald Trump type tv personality. No one needs another backhanded charitable contribution, or one that is only given with strings attached. I really truely hope I am wrong, but the cynic in me feels like this show will probably be "The Philanthropist."
