20Q.net is putting its artificial intelligence (A.I.) into warp speed to bring players 20Q STAR TREK, the latest version of the hugely popular game that can "read your mind." By choosing a person, place or thing from the Star Trek Universe, you use your wits to keep the system from figuring out your answer in twenty questions or less. If the system can't figure it out, you win! But first, the game needs to bone up on Star Trek trivia to be a worthy opponent.

20Q needs your help to assist the game in "learning" the world of STAR TREK, and all you have to do to contribute is play! With each play of the game, the system gets "smarter" and more challenging. By simply testing your STAR TREK knowledge, you can help bring the game to life as a real 20Q home game!

Think you can stump the system and win big? Play 20Q STAR TREK now!

I did not stump it with Erik Pressman (Terry O'Quinn, aka Locke on Lost). What a great program!
| Nov 24, 2008 1:11PM EST
I used Andorians and it didn't get it, because it said that they should be friendly and I feel that in Enterprise Shran and his people were far from friendly. Energy whip also stumped it.
| Nov 5, 2008 8:31PM EST
Hate feeding creature from Day of the Dove stumped it. Tried it about 5 different ways and it never figured it out.
| Oct 28, 2008 1:03PM EDT
Stumped it twice - once with tomair (which I was expecting would stump it - you know, pockets of volatile air that can ignite & blow a ship apart if destablized) but also stumped it with Charlie X!! Who knew?!
| Oct 28, 2008 12:49AM EDT
I chose Sek (Tuvok's son) and after 28 or so guesses it didn't get it. Wasn't in the database either.
| Oct 28, 2008 12:22AM EDT
We stumped 20Q. Eventually it guessed correctly--a horta.
| Oct 27, 2008 10:44PM EDT
I think this game rock, I gussed Tribbel and the game guessed it in just under 20Q, I think this game will be hard to perfect because there are so many Trek things. It's a different world. This game is gonna be kick a** when it;s done though. I hope I'm in the contest.

I stumped it with "a jumja stick." It got it eventually, but not in 20 guesses!
| Oct 27, 2008 5:28PM EDT
I stumped it i thought of the world Rubicun III and it couldn't get it, the planet where troi thought it was like the garden of eden and wes gets in trouble
| Oct 27, 2008 1:50PM EDT
I played and it took 24 guesses to get Tom Riker. It asked if it made contributions to exploring space and I said yes thinking of his time in the Delta quadrant, but apparently it thinks it should have been no.
| Oct 27, 2008 8:59AM EDT
I stumped it with quadrotriticale!!!
| Oct 27, 2008 12:59AM EDT
i stumped it with general chang from Star Trek VI, Undiscovered County.
| Oct 22, 2008 2:11PM EDT
I chose Omicron Theta and it had no idea.
| Oct 21, 2008 12:44AM EDT
i stumped it with Odo and a self sealing stem bolt
| Oct 20, 2008 9:43PM EDT
woah, I just stumped it with wesley crusher, who would have thought?
| Oct 20, 2008 9:21PM EDT
I stumped it with 'Captain Kathyrn Janeway'. tsk tsk tsk. Honestly, missing the CAPTAIN of Voyager is NOT good! In the end it said that its systems were corrupt and "you are captain kathryn janeway" xD
| Oct 20, 2008 8:32PM EDT
I stumped it with "The Trade Federation"
| Oct 20, 2008 7:32PM EDT
I stumped it with Kolvoord Starburst-
| Oct 20, 2008 7:13PM EDT
I stumped it with "Palis Delon", Dr Bashir's girlfriend at Starfleet Academy.
| Oct 20, 2008 6:27PM EDT
I stumpted it with Dr. Emory Erickson, the inventer of transporter. It was nowhere in its databanks.
| Oct 20, 2008 1:54PM EDT
I stumped Star Trek 20Q with Quark's cousin Gala...you know, the one with the moon. He wasn't even in the data base yet he was in more than one episode and mentioned by Quark several times. I also tried Morn and it's data base answers were all wrong. Morn was close to his family because in one episode he caught up someone on his several brothers and sisters. He is also athletic because in Who Mourns for Morn, Worf says that Morn was his sparring partner. the contradictions are many, but the A.I. is still young. I look forward to this coming out. It would make a great gift. I hope this is sufficient to enter me into the giveaway.
| Oct 20, 2008 1:40PM EDT
Stumped it with Genghis Khan.
| Oct 20, 2008 9:34AM EDT
Stumped it with NEBULA!!!
| Oct 20, 2008 9:24AM EDT
Chose San Fransisco, Earth (the past) and The whales from the same movie. Stumped with both based on variety of responses from other players. Eventually guessed it though. Then used replicator, and the game got it fairly quickly.
| Oct 20, 2008 5:25AM EDT
tried it again with Robert April. Same result. The trouble is that many questions are opinions rather than fact, so it's tough to pin down. . .
| Oct 20, 2008 5:17AM EDT
I stumped it with Aldeberan Whiskey, though it claimed that it got different answers from other players than I gave it.
| Oct 20, 2008 4:42AM EDT
So I played twice --- the first time it got it right, when I did Tom Paris, and the second time I stumped it, when I did Rain Robinson.
| Oct 20, 2008 3:29AM EDT
I played and stumped 20Q. I used San Francisco. A key place for Star Trek... It was close though...
| Oct 20, 2008 3:14AM EDT
I stumped the 20Q, I was hull plating and it didn't guess it.
| Oct 19, 2008 12:33AM EDT
I played and stumped it, I used Lieutenant Commander Dexter Remmick, from the TNG episode Conspiracy. I was completely missing from the library. Considering he was a involved in several episodes and concluded the very first season of TNG I feel he is an important character.
| Oct 19, 2008 12:29AM EDT
i used the word Jamaharon. It didn't get it, mainly because most people said that it couldn't cause harm, and it really all depends on who you do it with!
| Oct 17, 2008 12:06AM EDT
I played 20Q and I used the term Exocomps. It didn't get it under 20Q, but to be fair when it asked whether it would feel out of place on Earth, I chose 'maybe' where other players chose 'no'. (I also forgot they emit light).
| Oct 14, 2008 9:03PM EDT
I played 20Q star trek and I used the term Finoplak (clear liquid that can dissolve fabric) it did not get it and it didn't have it in its definition library.
