Will Eli Stone Survive?

Many of us have fallen in love with ABC's Eli Stone, a surprisingly touching yet funny midseason drama.

With the finale this week, we're left wondering anxiously if Eli will survive - both our dear character and the show for a 2nd season!

I absolutely hope this show gets renewed. I think it has a great chance. It has an all star cast, a good premise, and while I don't know the ratings off hand, a terrific time slot following Lost!

For the first time in a long time there comes a show that is both entertaining, funny and uplifting. Not like some of the trash out there that producers choose to call "Entertainment". The shows are unique and quirky, and leave one feeling pretty good. It's kinda like LA Law and Boston Legal, with a conscience. Please tell your friends (as I have) to write ABC and beg them to bring this show back.

I also hope it returns this season! I went onto abc.com and sent them a comment to please continue it, so if you can, please do so! I think the more positive response they get, the better the chances of it returning! We don't want it to be another Popular (mentioned above), or another Freaks and Geeks (also discontinued at the end of the first season). Let 'em know how you feel!

I sure hope it has a shot, anyone I've talked to who has seen it loves it, I think it's really good at making you laugh one second and then be close to tears the next. I will be very upset if it doesn't come back. On the other hand, if it doesn't at least it didn't leave it at some extreme cliffhanger to never be answered, I mean the family channel, had this one show, Popular, and then it ended season 2 with the one character getting hit by a car that's being driven by her drunk friend. But then the show never got picked up for another season, so fans now have to think of their own ending.

I think it has a shot; it really has found it's rhythm in the most recent episodes...ABC just might take a risk because the show is definitely creatively strong. Of all of the new mid-season shows, I would definitely be most upset about this one not making it, so perhaps I'm being overly optimistic, but we'll see...

I really don't think it will be returning..
