Rate It: Was the Gossip Girl Premiere all you hoped?

I have to say I really enjoyed the big Season 2 opener tonight for Gossip Girl - it had some pretty big drama, but it wasn't constant OMG moments.

Did you like this or were you hoping to be OMG-ed out by the end of the premiere?

I'd give this premiere an 8/10 - not disappointing, a solid catch-up and new drama with the characters, but nothing insanely riveting.

i totally agree wid u it was all catch up ...... and basically explained wt happened all summer not much drama except tht of nate with the older lady ......and i tottaly dint feel OMG-ed at the end .........all-in-all an ok kinda episode .

yeah, i was like... umm enough of nate with the ugly chick already! hahah. that was annoying at the start. The drama wasn't as high, and much less OMFG moments on it. But i guess catch up is good. It was alrite. It was obvious that Serena and Dan would get back together.

i think that everyone saw all the promos who revealed almost everything soo it wasn't a real surprise ....anyway i think it was a great episode.9/10

yeah it wasn't really a surprise cause most of the promos showed the best parts. it would of been better if we saw what happened in the summer rather than them talking about it.i would rate it 6\10 cause they built it up so much that the episode was kind of a let down

It was good but not a breath taking episode... i think they could do it better!!!! the promos were good but the episode didn't accomplish my expectative..... let's hope the next episode take our breath away with those OMG and OMFG moments!!! I NEED DRAMA SOOO MUCH DRAMA!!!! by the way... what does dan think he is!!! God?!!! or Jesus???!!!! he's always judging serena!!!! i hate that!!!! 7/10

I really liked the opener of the second season!!!it was much better than the season final!!!!i really thought it ended like skank!...anywayyyyy can't wait for the next episode!!!!<33XOXO

I think the next episode is going to provide us with the OMG moments tbh.. They needed the premiere to give us a summer recap, and now they can move on.. Although, I think they could have given us a little more, seeing as they're really desperately looking for new viewers

I liked the opening of this Season. It was a "Cathing Up" episode, I think it was better season 1 finale.I think we will get more drama and OMG moments in the new upcoming episodes. But I am not looking forward for the "The Dark Night" episode when Dan and Serena will break up... SO SAD!

So if Serena and Dan break up again, is there anything worth saving for them or does everyone think it's just another bump in the road and they'll eventually be happy and together "for good"?

dan and serena were back together too fast... i mean too fastone second serena is kissing nate then fighting with dan then kissing himthat is drama put together in 30 seconds and not what i tuned in forhope they pull it togetherI WANT DRAMA!!! I WANT OMG!!!!

im giving it 8/10. but i want more drama too. everyone's back together rather too fast.. i wish serena could have something more with nate before she and dan got back together..

I enjoyed it but it wasn't up to past episode standards. It really was a good catchup but it definitely had things to improve on. It was a bit predictable too, so I rate it a 7/10!

I really liked it, the show was great outside of New York, and I liked all of the characters summer storylines, and as someone else has posted, Chuck was the star of the show, as was Blair, the two of them are great together and add a great deal to the show I think Season 2 will surpass the first in terms of drama and excitement

God I really loved that episode.All the things going on between chuck and blair, ... i was so moved at the end of the episode.Looks like we're going to get to know chuck better this season !

very dramatic...i don't like the part though where Nate was gaga over the married girl such a big shock! B was right that lord guy he was dating was so boring much as compared to my Chuck so handsome as ever but won't admit that his inluv! For Serena and Dan lovebirds back again as usual...Granny has changed her mind over Dan!

i liked the season 2 opening, especially the kiss between nate and serena, the music was perfect.i want nate to leave that older lady and go with serena, that would be cute and perfect

I thought the episode was alright. It wasn't anything amazing just because I'm sure most people would have read the spoilers, watched the promo's and searched the new pics and stuff. But I think it was a good way to bring the episode back after a long break, just set the ground and hopefully soon we'll get some lovely " OMFG " moments :)
