Has this show overstayed it's welcome.

It was funny at first, but it seems that they are really reaching for story lines. Maybe it's just me.

hey daily I have a idea on how the show can introduce the mother as a character and still keep the name but in doing so make the show more awesome how do you do that you ask you shift the story from ted to barney explaining how he met the mother of his children which is a great departure from his current situation but would be comedy gold.how barney became a father would be legend wait for it ary.The show could continue for years with barney as the story teller instead of ted.

This show was once very funny but not anymore. The premise is played out, the jokes are recycled and the characters have become somewhat annoying. To see what I mean just watch the two Slapsgiving episodes one after the other. The first episode is comic gold while the second falls flat. Ted, the protagonist yet least likable character on the show, should have meet his wife a season and a half ago. The show can continue for years once they meet and take us through the courting period, engagement and wedding. The mother character should have been a member of the show before the writing got stale.

Even tho I have to agree that the show did go down a great bit and that they are struggling for ideas. As it seems most shows are nowadays........ It still has some potential. On another note that is a great point strawberrycutie they could/should probably have the mother on the show for at least an entire season before we would get sick of the show. Besides it would be better to have her on there for at least a little bit so that you could get to know her and find out WHY she is so special. One of the number one rules of writing is SHOW DONT TELL!

Its not as good as it was before...but I still love the show...i think they do need to get on with the mother storyline though - it doesn't have to end once we know who the mother is.

I'm still enjoying it! All shows go through ups and downs and sometimes we have to stick with our fav shows through the rougher times!
