Stargate Atlantis; The Queen - My Review

Although I have always been a big fan of Stargate Atlantis, I, like many have felt that this season was fairly unoriginal. However, 'Queen' has to have been my favourite episode of the season so far. Watching Teyla's transformation into a, quick frankly, uber creepy Wraith Queen was a really interesting take. Not only does this serve as a great stand alone episode but also opens up many possibilities for the future, such as Teyla going back into that role and the repercussions of the hilariously named Todd becoming the leader of the Alliance.

I felt almost exhilarated when Teyla began destroying another Hive, with Todd whispering that she just wanted to destroy Wraith. And why shouldn't she?! After all the years of her personal fight with them, it was great to see her getting some well earned revenge. And I think I may have enjoyed that as much as she must have.

Overall, I thought it was a great episode. With Sheppard nicknaming the second in command Kenny, and Teyla having hundreds of Wraith in allegiance before her there wasn't much not to enjoy. In my opinion, Stargate Atlantis at its best.
