Royal Pains: A Pain to Watch??

Let me answer that for ya...YES!...oh make that a HELL YES!

So here I am...fooled by the extended Promo and a man named Evan...who was the only redeeming factor in the entire show, into watching. So I watched...despite each passing minute becoming even more unbearable...okay, I dramatise but you get it right? It was BAD.

I wish I could list all the reasons why...but truth is...there were too many!! But here's one...

Lead do I put this...cannot ACT. And it only took me 3 minutes into the show to work that one out.

Apologies for the Rant but when you've been deprived of pretty much take what you get...I tried that...but there's taking what you get and then there's rummaging through the garbage.

Another thing...why does every Asian/Indian character have to British?? Are there none in the States?? All 50 of them?....but I guess they're ticking all the boxes there.

Okies...*breathe*...well, I hope the other episode get wayyyyyyy better because this show wont make it past half a dozen episodes at the most IMO...unless it goes the 90210 way...

haha, have made me laugh.
I agree with you that it wasn't particularly great or special, but I actually think I have seen far far worse. It kinds of fits right along with the rest of the crap on USA - so it will do well there.
And it's summer, so you have to lower your standards...a lot. I liked it more than Mental...

Don't expect any 'deep' tv shows on summer. It's all about the chill-out :)

I'm not in love with it, but as others have said, for summer TV and USA, I really like it, at least from the pilot. I think it could get old if they try to make it at all like a 'case of the week' show, but I think the characters have promise, and if I'm going for a light and fun TV night with that and Burn Notice, it'll make me happy. If I were you, I'd give it another episode and then see if you think it gets worse or surprises you with a real plot and better acting. ;)

hahaha...Thanks Guys for your contributions!...I'm really confused about one thing though...everyone seems pretty chilled about the low quality of programming over the summer? Why does that happen?...
About the show...I'll watch anothe eppy and see how it goes...

I don't know, for me I guess it's just weird to watch drama's or horror tv-shows when it's hot and the sun is shining outside. It's better to watch summer-chilled tv shows that have an easy plot to follow.
