The New Face

new surgeon, the black guy (if you honestly hadnt figured it out), he was also in the hills have eyes and i think he also had a disney series for a bit. who is he? whatever, hes a good actor, and frankly, if scrubs pulled a phoenix move (which is one of the hardest moves for a show to do successfully) and continued on without Zach Braff but with this guy as the lead, maybe show how the surgeon half lives for a season or two .... i would probably watch. hes a good actor, and (and this is a straight male talking) hes HOT (Braff aint, btw).

He was in the Disney Channel show "The Famous Jett Jackson." It would an interesting spin on the show if they made him the main character. I would watch it.

Oh no NGrady666. I know it's hard to see something we love die like a family pet or a beloved tv show, but that is part of life. We want to believe they are not sick and can still make a recovery....but sometimes we just need to let them go. Remember Scrubs in it's great days and let the network take it to a farm where it can run around and play with other shows and rest in peace.;-)

I think they try to put the Interns into better roles to see if fans like it and are thinking about continuing the series after zach leaves. I just don't know if that would be a good idea. Imho Sunny was supposed to be "the next JD". At least her character is very close to JDs. Another option would be, that Scrubs ends for good but Interns replaces it as a kind of spinoff. But until they tell us what they've planned we can only guess.

i just wanna see the phenix move done well. most shows die after a main cast member leaves, i dont mean get canceled, i mean the show tanks and tanks hard in terms of quality. frankly i think scrubs can pull a phenix, but still.... if they tried with this guy, maybe ... no, whom i kidding, they need to have one with a rich inner world and this guy doesn't seem the fantasy type. also if they did redo it, they would need a different avenue of showing the inner worlds (cuz no two are alike). ultimately i dont think they can but still ... if they could .... :D

If I were the exec's in charge and wanted the show to keep going I think I would revamp it just a bit. With JD leaving, why not have his ner'do well brother from the past enter sacred heart as a resident on the season finale. Have him show up to visit JD just in time to tell him that he's worked hard and trying to make somethig of his lifes. He's decided to be a dr and went back to medical school. Now where JD was dreamy but competent bro would be a bit more incompetent but underneath having gret potential that others see...if they can get him past that lazy self involved interior. Where JD was insecure Brother (sorry don't remember his name on the show) would be more secure less needy at least outwardly...but (and here's where we come to the dreamy part) inside very insecure and wanting acceptance.. For the characters that remain from the original series of scrubs..they dont really like him..but they want him around because he reminds them of JD...and he knows that...telling them he is NOT JD...so it would give at least one season to adjust to the new character slowly as the people at sacred heart accept him for himself and not as JD's replacement..so do we.... IT could work if written and handled right withthe same comedy style (even elliot sleeping with him because he reminds her of JD..then becoming a neurotic mess when she realizes what she's done...and his taunting her <as she learns he's not quite the gentleman JD was> about sleeping with him...) there aremany ways to intergrate the two over the first season to transition to new characters so subtley that we hardly notice the change...and to give us some of the old beloved comedy and characters while having time to build the new... Hmmm huh it could work....

good ideas, really, but they did that already, remember? JD's brother has already made a come back; it was to offer JD a car (he had succeeded in real-estate, not medicine) so JD could visit his child. the plot was JD acted childish because he imagined that he was always going to be better then his brother (career wise) and was insecure about his brothers success. they've even done elliot sleeping with him (after their dad died) for an episode or two (JD got insecure about that too). they were good ideas, but the writers already used them. (i hate when that happens, but it also feel's nice that something close to your idea actually made it on air in an episode)

The episode in which Dan returns as a finally-mature older brother to confront JD on how he has been living his life is 7.3 "My Inconvenient Truth". Tom Cavanagh (Dan) is now starring in a show called "Trust Me" with Eric McCormack (Will & Grace) on TNT. As far as I know, this is the last season of Scrubs. Since pretty much all of the main characters stated before the season began that this would be their last, I think the best course of action is to end the show. Scrubs has enjoyed a long, successful run for eight seasons. I would much rather see it end this way than to carry on with a new cast. If the writers/network wish to continue with the interns, they would be better off to do so in a spinoff. This phoenix move rarely turns out for the better, and I would hate to see a show as good as Scrubs go down that path.

I think it could work and i think that the writers are trying to experiment wth the idea by having zach off in a few episodes and working more on some of the other characters which is gd i guess, this black actor was cyborg in smallville, sad how i know that lol
