I'm not entirely sure what they want to do with Fred. He was a great ancillary character - balanced out the ditzyness of Deb's BFF. After the whole romance arc, they up and cut him. I wonder if he'll be back because that letter seemed to indicate that he'll be gone for good. Anyway, I really liked him and it's sad that he's gone.
