The Dark Knight was the best movie of the year end of disscussion. The oscars it seems, only ever give awards to the arty movies no one ever sees, and the stuff people actually like they ignore. The never give awards to comedians, Jim Carrey absolutely should have won one already for either The Truman Show, Man on the moon, or Eternal Sunshine. They never give best picture to block busters like pirates of the carribean. But hopefully that will change with a movie that redefined a genre. Dark Knight proved you can be a gritty character driven drama while still being a superhero movie. It deserves best picture, who the hell cares about Slumdog Millionare?
