Cross Game - Season 1 - Episode 25 - Review: ''It's An Honour"

We start the episode with the coach of Ryuuou apologizing to Mishima for not letting him play on the team (benched). Mishima tells him that it's alright, that the coach is doing nothing wrong. This is all happening because Shimano wants to be the focus of the team, so he would get scouted. During practice a scout from Seishuu's next opponent, Sannou overhears Akaishi and Nakahara discuss their weaknesses. While studying Shimano, Kou thanks Azuma because no other batter can surprise him now, and then Azuma smiles!!! (Junpei's wishes are coming true! He IS having fun playing baseball) During practice, another Sunnou scout overhears Aoba teasing Kou on his weak fielding of bunts. That evening, Kou remembers Wakaba telling him that if he wants Aoba to like him, he has to throw 160km/h. The next day, during the first two innings, Seishuu has a bit of difficulty against Sannou, with Sannou just hitting bunts (since Kou is not very good at catching bunts). They are able to keep it at one run.

That's when, at the bottom of the 2nd inning, Akaishi tells Kou to stop practicing fielding, since Sannou's already got a run in on them. So now this is Kou's pitching at full power. Sannou's coach admits that Kou's stats are faulty but they have the advantage because they have all the data on the players. If only that meant anything to the boys in Seishuu, they are unpredictable.
