This past Friday, Dexter executive producer Clyde Phillips and series star Michael C. Hall ("Dexter Morgan") spoke to the press at the Television Critics Association press tour. The two discussed their ongoing portrayal of the oddly endearing serial killer, and hinted at what's to come in Season 3, debuting this fall.
Dexter's sister Deb has gone through quote an emotional roller coaster on the series and Phillips revealed that, "One of [Deb's] goals this year is to get her detective shield, and she will have to learn that there's a gray area between the black and white that she believes in police work. She's still, we find, psychologically looking for the approval of her father because she never really had it because young Dexter took up all of his time. Also this year, I can tell you that she will finally enter into a healthy, loving relationship, but I can't tell you with whom, and hopefully it will be a surprise."
Dexter: Season 3 premieres September 28th on Showtime.
