Does Youkou work for ANYONE?

I'm very curious, since it has NEVER worked for me. I know it's Asian, but since the vast majority of sidereel users are European/American, I was wondering if it has worked for ANYONE? If not, can we can get delete all links to what has become a very annoying site(s)?

Only certain YouKu links work in certain areas. I frequently get a 'Not available in your Region'(heavily paraphrased). Then on some YouKu links, it works. It is slow but sometimes surprisingly less buggy than other sites.Megavideo sucks now. Same with SuperNovaTube. Used to be good then went down the toilet and all buggy now.zShare and DivX sites are the current best IMHO. WiseVid is good but my UK GF sometimes finds it buggy. If ya want to get on about removing something, focus on the 40 MegaVideo links for every popular episode/movie in the list or the links that ask you to signup for crap. Or do other shady things. And yea, that includes NinjaVideo. Why should I have to run NinjaVideo's custom script? I don't trust them. I'm happy to turn off my AdBlocker for certain sites, doesn't mean I'm gonna let em run some weird extra-ap(ActiveX, Script, or whatever I can't remember Firefox warns me about) on my puter.

I live in Sweden and Youku works great! :D A little slow at times but it is perfect and fast compared to other sites.

I hear you!!...Youku is the worst link ever. It's so slow. Whoever reads this, please add links that work outside of the US. In Mexico we get less and less links that work for us. I like Megavideo but they have set a time limit for free watching. In addition to this, they are broadcasting out of synk. Supernovatube is good too, but they dont want to work for my country and other because we "render no revenue"... sucks.

I'm in UK and allthough slow at times I love Youku allways a good picture! I just give it 10 minutes before I start watching!! gives me time to get a snack and get comfy lol!

i am in south korea. youkou used to work fine here. the past few days however, i noticed that it's taking forever to load videos hosted by that site. tonight, i got a "this site was blocked by your region", which means to say that south korean cyber police blocked youkou. i like supernova. yay! free ad!

It's not my favourite site, no (yeah, supernovatv or whatever) but it works well enough. It's an okay speed as well usually. Some nights it's really slow. But most often I find it's reasonable. I liked Megavideo a lot until it started putting a time-limit watch on that. So althought Youku doesn't work a quickly, at least I can watch unlimited amounts of TV. I don't think we should get rid of the links. I mean. If we got rid of all the links from foreign servers we'd be left with, what, Hulu and AOL. Neither of which I can watch, living outside the United States of America. If you really don't like them you're best bet is to just avoid them.

Youku is a last resort for me. some days it works but it is so slow when it does. Its a peice and shoule only be used when everything else is broken.

I'm in the US and youku works just fine. it's just slow so you need to let it loads for a while then watch it.

Man i hate youku!! Always slow loading except for a videos i have watched

Youku works fine for me too, better than any of the other asian sites (like Tudou). And it almost never gives me troubles unlike some American sites which either insist they won't show my anything because I'm European or they don't load the videos at all. It's just like that, not all sites work for everyone. Plus, I'm able to navigate Youku better than most other Chinese sites with my Kanji knowledge.

Don't delete them. They do work. Like a lot of the other North American users, I sometimes see choppiness and slow loading, but it does seem to ebb and flow, so I would assume that those are the times when the Chinese are using the site a lot. I prefer todou, but hey, a working link is a working link... and free is free.

Youku works pretty well for me. It is sometimes slow, but the picture quality is usually really good and you can (somewhat) easily get playlists -- I was able to find all of season 8 of SVU there.

Youku is definitely my first choice on this site. It's my favorite player and i just like how user friendly the site is. I don't have the problem of it being slow but mostly because I live in Shanghai at the moment. Sites like megavideo, ninjavideo etc. are inaccessible for me though, because most of them are blocked in China. I guess this just goes to show that one man's trash is another man's treasure. ;) I'm all for getting rid of spam but I hope we'll keep links up that aren't. It's the world wide web after all, not just the American/European web. :)

Youku is considerably slow for me. I use divx if its working, and if it is not working then I use megavideo or supernova.

it works fine for me - fast and no interruptions! i guess coz im from asia?

Doesn't even compare to DivX videos, NinjaVideo is the best site i think i have seen, it's undergoing some changes at the moment but apart from that it's awesome.

I'm in Seattle, I love Youku. Youku recently added $10-million dollars in servers. It's the fastest of Chinese sites and one of the most reliable video hosts in the world. Faster than most American sites for me. It's searchable, no 'private' videos, no porn, does AutoPlay lists, commercials are few and short. Doesn't send me to Hulu or AOL or networksite, that is "not available in your region". Doesn't need special players. If you can never get on Youku, then you might be in a blocked region. Test this by using a Chinese proxy. During peak usage hours Youku can, and has, blocked all international users. But, I don't know of any countries or regions that are blocked all the time.

Youku works, its just extremely slow most of the time. If you get on during asian non-peak hours (when they're all sleeping) then its usually fine. Honestly, I try to stay away from Youku as much as possible if there are alternatives just because it's usually slow, but theres no need to delete working links.
