I think everyone who watched S4E11 knew that, since the trailer for the next episode(s?) showed the Torchwood team, plus SJS and her "companions," to be shown in the coming episode(s). I'm pretty excited, since this looks like it's building up to a really great Season Finale!

It worries me though...think about it. The last time you saw "Bad Wolf" we lost Christopher Ecclestein...are they planning on switching Whos again?? Granted, I'm very excited, but what will we be left with if David leaves??

It's true, we know that David will not be leaving the show just yet - he's doing the Christmas special, and the specials that will be airing next year - and possibly another season after that - but then I imagine he'll be moving on and we'll see a new doctor emerge.
I am just wondering how long Donna will be around. We may find out by the end of the season - but it seems that they have opened up so many possibilities for her character, it would be a shame to have her exit now.

She's going to die....or leave...her character is too volatile to stick around. The fortune teller, rose and some others all say she's important and powerful in some way. She's one of those people who's purpose has some bottom line meaning in the show. That effectively makes Martha the most useless companion of the three.

David is actually not leaving. The show is on hiatus because he's doing Shakespeare early next year. Doctor Who is gonna be set in a miniseries like Torchwood... but he's not leaving the show. As for Donna, I love her, but I personally think it's time for a new sidekick.

i think donna is gonna do something simmilar to what rose did looking into the time vortex, cause why else would the doctor have told the professer girl from the library about herand personally i dont like her nearly as much as rose or martha

BadWolf - I agree with you on Martha - so far she has proven to be the least useful of the three companions of this series. I think the problem was the fact that her character was love-sick and always desperately chasing after the doctor instead of learning more and being more proactive. When she appeared on Torchwood, and in episodes this season she is much much better.
YourFaveCupcake - Time for a new sidekick already?? I hope that the show doesn't get into a trend of replacing the companions every season. It's nice to see some character development, and 13 episodes isn't a ton of time to have that happen. I am hoping that Donna is still around in one form or another after this season's finale.
irishguy117 - The Doctor probably told River Song about all of his companions up to that point - even the ones that didn't do as much... like Martha, lol. :P

Honestly, in my opinion, they're going to be very hard pressed to find someone who can be as good of a Doctor as David. I, personally, didn't like season 1. Once David became The Doctor, I was quite happy.
Toddy - You complain about Martha being a love-sick character. Rose was worse. Far, far worse. However, I think Rose should come back as The Doctor's companion, connections to Torchwood, love interests, family in parallel dimensions aside. Doesn't really matter in my opinion. Rose has been the only good companion so far as far as I'm concerned.

Rose has been brilliant. But I don't think she'll come back for any long term role. She's been for two seasons, and leaving her OFF would make more sense. It gives the doctor a definite flaw. Also, if she stayed, it would cheapen the ending of season 2. It's nice to see her again, and it'll be sad to watch her go.

Did anyone happen to catch the doctor's daughter in all those cuts I saw torchwood, donna, rose, martha, etc....but I couldnt see his daughter....SURELY she and/or River Song makes an appearence? if not in part one, then in part 2??

Trialtos - I know that Rose was also love sick, but the difference is that the Doctor returned the feelings for Rose. With Martha, she kept lusting after him and he didn't care. Rose had a reason to stay interested. Martha did not.
BadWolf - River Song will not be there - she died in the episode we saw her in already, and we know that that was the first time she had met that incarnation of the Doctor - so she cannot show up - it wouldn't make any sense.
As for the Doctor's Daughter - who knows - does anyone remember what world, or what year it was when the Doctor's daughter was 'born'?

toddyboy, the episodes in which we saw River Song was the first time the Doctor had met her, not the other way around. The meeting in that episode was his first and her last.

Random note that, as the Doctor says, in the series time isn't linear but a big ball of..stuff. Wasn't necessarily her last meeting with him, but River Song had only heard of Donna up until she met her in the library. Therefore as River's body died, she's unlikely to meet Donna again in her in her personal future, and didn't in her past, so River's unlikely to feature. I'm looking forward to maybe see her again as a future companion though!
As for the Doctor's Daughter, I'd particularly enjoy seeing her again as she was a very fun character, also I'd quite like to see the girl from Blink (Season 3) as I also thought she was very good. Still, the finale two-parter for this season certainly promises to be good! Although how Tosh and Owen are in it should prove interesting, given the season 2 finale of Torchwood...

Euhura - yes I know - I had said that it was her first time meeting that incarnation of the Doctor - i.e. the 10th Doctor.
And so, as I was saying, since David is still playing the Doctor, she will not / cannot feature in the episode - she can only really reappear once David is done playing the Doctor for it all to make sense. :)

Toddy - Rewatch the Library episodes. She only knows the Doctor as played by David. At that point in The Doctor's life, he had not met her. She, however, kept making reference to how young he looked. She only knew THAT form. So, no, Her showing up in this episode would make perfect sense, if it weren't for the fact that she's from centuries in the future.
Would be interesting though.

*smacks forehead* lol - It's funny how when she said the bit about the Doctor looking younger, I immediately interpreted it as her knowing a different Doctor who also happened to be older - but of course, now that it has been pointed out to me, I'm not sure why I jumped to that conclusion, lol.
So yes, it would be interesting for River to show up, but I doubt she will. She seems too important to shove into this finale. Perhaps she will be the focus of one or more of the specials next year?

Mayhaps she'll be the "bad wolf" mystery ending for the next finale...They'll wait the whole season and let the idea of her simmer, and then nearly fade from memory and then out of the blue, there she is. Donna will have been gone by then, since river song had only heard of her. Either rose will come back or a new companion will join up. Wouldn't it be amazing if a member of Torchwood teamed up at that point?

Hi all... new to this site, so please be patient with any newb faux pas I might make! lol. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show! I really liked Christopher as the doctor, and totally hated on David most of season 2. But then, midway through, I fell for his cheeky humor. I would really hate to see him go now! lol : )
Anyway, I was just thinking about bad wolf, and the last time we saw it. My initial thoughts were that it would somehow relate to Rose... like maybe she is coming back, or it is her final exit from the show. Last time (in Parting of Ways) Rose said she had put "bad wolf" all over time and space as a hidden message to herself. If you remember, the doctor had sent her home in the TARDIS because he was going to die, along with cpt. Jack, while fighting the Daleks. Rose was stuck on earth, but drug her mom & Mickey to the TARDIS. That's when she looked into the heart & killed the daleks, resurrected cpt Jack, and we got a new Doctor. So maybe she was behind this bad wolf also? Not really sure. Just my little theory.
!SPOILER ALERT!I saw a few gossip stories about the finale... ****links to a story about The Stolen Earth episode.
****Links to a page relating to most things discussed. Also when we will get a new doctor and who it might be.

OMG!!! I am going crazy right now! I can't wait to know what happens... and of course there's no trailers! I can't take it!!! lmaoI gotta know if he's really gone. I saw tons of articles and such claiming he was on board through midway of season 5! I'm in shock right now. Man that was good... super suspenseful.
BadWolf, I did see something online hinting that regen as a woman was a possibility. So who knows!

Ok, new to the thread, but is it just me or do you hate to be continued episodes. Yep, had to say that, but onto the reason I'm on here. If you go to imdb.com, it shows what actors have been in and if it is a tv show it shows which episodes. I went on it to check if David is going to be on the last episode and it said he was, so there is probably going to be some regeneration anomaly in the next episode.
On another note, does anyone think the regeneration concept on the show is genius. It means they have a reason to replace the actor, soon maybe actress, whenever someone wants to leave the show. I love it because, personally, I hate when they all of a sudden replace an actor on a show for no reason. At the end of one season they will have one person playing the character and a new person the next season. Doctor Who gives a reason for the new actor and the new personality that shows through with a new actor.

Ooh, where to start. HOLY S**T! Just love watchin this show. Lots of twists and turns. :DSo, damn...wonder what the technical excuse for the regeneration accident will be? oO Some crazy side-effect of being inside a nebula that's shifted 1 second out of time? Who knows. oOReally glad to see all of the companions back though, even thought I read a spoiler suggesting it would happen, it's not the same as watching it unfold. :D
Gotta say, love seein my fav companion Rose again too, although I can fairly-well guarentee she will not take on a permanent role. This fact is backed by the confirmed information that she will be going on to a third season of Secret Diary of a Callgirl, a show in which she is the main star. :(
Always good to see the crew of Torchwood. Can't wait for the new season, even if it will be minus Owen and Tosh. T_T
As for Donna, she irks me the wrong way. Maybe because she reminds me of my gf. She comes off ignorant. Plus she's too damn emotional over EVERYTHING. Irrational behaviour as opposed to a logical response. Keep expecting her to run out the door of the Tardis into space with her arms flailing over a cockroach or something. :SDefinitely thinking she's goin the way of the dinosaurs, but I won't hold my breath either.
Well, aside from that, rather liked Eccleston in season 1. He was funny because he could be an ass when he wanted to, but he wasn't uncaring either. Wasn't sure what to think of Tennant when he came on, only knowing that he played a character in one of the Harry Potter movies.Turns out he's hilarious though. His almost child-like approach to all things new and exciting makes for a great show, but he's also a no B.S. kinda guy.Won't be particularly eager to see him disappear when the time eventually comes.
Well, that's all my infinite ramblings. I'll try to think up more crazy idea's as to why a regeneration "glitch" could happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ties into the whole "out of synch" deal with the Medusa Cascade.

Readtiludie- The way IMDB works is if they even recap....or have just mere MOMENTS of David in the episode, it will say he's in it.
He might be on long enough to say "nice to see you again" or something and thats it. Kind of sneaky of them, but its the way they operate...on a side note, I hope they prove me wrong... I'll miss david.
On the flip side, it does not mention him doing ANYTHING for season 5. His participation as far as IMDB is concerned ends in the last episode of season 4.

I dont' want Rose back because, when she was on it before. It was not Doctor Who it was the Rose Show and her Dysfunctional Family. And Rose is REALLY bad for the Doctor. She got him killed twice. Is there anyone else feel the same about Rose? I am happy she was on for HER seasons of the show but, the lost and love story is old and uninteresting.Martha irritated me with her crush on the Doctor and I was very happy to see her on Torchwood. I think she would make a great addition to Torchwood.I really like Donna the most out of all the New Series Companions because, she does have a clear head and she is pretty smart. She is not gaga over the Doctor and she is a good friend to the doctor. I like her and she is awesome JMO!!Oh yeah these episodes are awesome!!!

Well I just watched s4e13 and I have a pretty good idea on what is going done. BTW don't read any further if you haven't watched it yet................>>>>>>>>Ok I have a pretty good idea that Martha and Mikey are going to join the ranks with Captain Jack, Ianto and Gwen. I can't wait till it starts again. As far as Rose goes I really don't think she is coming back b/c of her new doctor toy. David is still the Doctor, Yippy.
