This was a WICKED 'traditional' Will-Smith-style zombie flick. Think "Independence Day" and "iRobot" chopped up and blended with "28 days later".

The flashback scenes are very emotional, and the main characters frustration is palatable as his isolation draws on.

Smith holds his own quite nicely as the sole human, carrying on dialogue with himself and still managing to make us laugh. The one thing he doesn't really manage to portray is fear; which I found holds me back from getting 'submerged' in the film.

*4 1/2 Stars*

[I cannot believe this man has grey hair!!]
