Dexter season finale was lame [*SPOILER*]

[SPOILER]

ALERT

[SPOILER]

Indeed, I thought Dexter would have way more trouble putting Ramon away and escaping from the Skinner. He convinced and calmed down Ramon (only temporarily maybe?) with just a few words and he got out of the Skinner's amateurish trap way more easily than I thought he would. I'm almost wondering if George King was actually the real skinner, what kind of professional serial killer would do such loose knots? Looked like the dude was trying to kill for the first time in his life.

Don't get me wrong, I'm obviously glad everything ends up well for Dex but being fully aware he wouldn't get killed (season 4 is being taped), I thought the writers would give us some more action.

I think we all agree season 3 started up very slowly but after episode 7/8 I had more hopes in it. Episodes 9, 10 and 11 were amazing. The finale was pretty lame though and definitely ruined what I would call an overall weaker and less interesting season than season 1 and 2. You can also compare what happened in season 1 and 2 finale with season 3's and you'll know what I mean.

Please nothing personal, just want your thoughts.

PS: this whole "family man", Rita's pregnancy, almost loosing the baby, getting fired from her job, Dexter's getting married, arguing with Rita, planning the wedding etc. etc. for 5 or 6 episodes was really boring and ruined half of the season.

I obviously enjoyed the Miguel story, especially at the end, and how Dex was able to "communicate" with Harry. The skinner was also pretty lame too as we all expected of the main characters to be him until they brought in "George King" (who?). This dude's only motive for killing people was weak too.

i much prefered season 3 to season 2. season 1 is the best by far, but i thought the slip in quality control was season 2 (mainly due to Lila being an idiot). I have to disagree about the "ease of Dexters escape from the Skinner". The knots were plenty tight enough, Dex had to break his frikkin' hand just to get them loose!! Also, i think it was good that they didnt have a main character as the Skinner. Almost every movie or TV thriller ever made does the whole "Whodunnit" storyline, where you know its going to be a main character but have to keep guessing which one. It's much more realistic to have a guy like George King be a killer. Besides, we first meet him pretty early on in the season, i think "the lion sleeps tonight" he gets some screen time, and eagle eyed viewers would have noticed something very wrong with him there anyway.

I agree with everything you just said. altogether I thought the whole series wasn't a scratch on the previous ones, even episodes 9, 10 and 11
