Michael Scott: Love him Or Hate Him or BOTH?

Do you LOVE or HATE Michael Scott?

This is what I think:

Michael Scott is one of those guys who you want to hate but somehow end up loving.

He is one of those guys who you want to love but somehow end up hating.

I was feeling both of these in The Office - Baby Shower.

Amazingly, he is completely unaware of his own cruel, juvenile behavior and this is his saving grace - for himself, not the audience! Michael is busy having Dwight pretend to be pregnant so he can get the proper practice to be a father, even though he is NOT the father (it is a sperm donor).

Personally I hate Michael Scott. Steve Carell has way oversaturated the market just like Dane Cook did a few years back....but Michael's behavior just makes things uncomfortable and is not funny. Everyone else on the show is hilarious though. Michael-centric episodes suck, but all others rock. Woo!

I love, he reminds me of my dad, sometimes my husband....His behavior isn't perfect, but his sense of loyalty is. I would be his friend if I knew him...

that's what makes you love him, the fact that everyone around him is aware of his juvenile tendencies and aren't offended by his ridiculous behavior (but when they are, it's even better because, like a child, he is put in his place). the only time i can't stand him is when he does something that could potentially ruin another situation, i.e. his behavior towards holly in order to keep jan happy. holly and michael are made for each other and i really don't want him to blow it. plus jan is the devil so who cares if she's happy. but so far so good.

I definitely hate the way he behaves and all, and sometimes he really annoys me but that's what's kind of funny about him. Like also the way he treats Pam, like he's always making fun of her, and Dwight and all the other employees. I think it makes the show really strange and hilarious at the same time.
