From the very first shot of the very first episode of Covert Affairs, we've wondered about Annie Walker's relationship with the mysterious Ben Mercer and why he had to leave her under cover of night. We've also followed the story of a devastating (and still unidentified) leak within the CIA who has been funneling information to news reporter Liza Hearn. I was happy that they provided answers to these questions in this finale, after following them for an entire season, but I was hoping for a stronger episode all around. Because this episode dealt with season-long revelations, be warned, there are spoilers ahead.

Let's face it, that's what season finales are all about. What was surprising, however, was that Ben wasn't captured by the CIA and that he turned himself in due to a crisis of conscience that didn't involve Annie.
