When we last left off the crazy Dunder Mifflin Scranton employees of The Office, it was the company picnic. Among the things that happened include: a crazy Michael-Holly reunion, an inadvertent announcement of the Buffalo branch closing down, surprisingly good volleyball skills, and a silent but very meaningful scene between Jim and Pam.
Is Pam (Jenna Fischer) pregnant? Is it the end of the road for Michael (Steve Carrell) and Holly (Amy Ryan)? Will we get to see more of Dwight's (Rainn Wilson) crazy best friend Rolph (James Urbaniak) for more Angela (Angela Kinsey) bashing? Have we finally seen the last of bossy Charles Miner (Idris Elba)? En route to the NBC comedy's September 17 return, read on after the jump for The Office season 6 preview.
After being renewed early January this year, NBC comedy The Office will resume its 9pm spot on the peacock network's Thursday lineup starting September 17. Also in store for this season is a one-hour special on October 8, which, according to the network, will feature the wedding of Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam. NBC adds that the two will hold their wedding at Niagara Falls in the hope that their officemates will not attend. In attendance this season, though, is Pam's mother, which is currently being recast.
Starting off season 6, meanwhile, is an episode called "Gossip" - where a few interns who stayed at Dunder-Mifflin over the summer end their internship. It has also been confirmed that Ellie Kemper will reprise her role as receptionist Erin, described as a "fun addition" to the show. Erin replaced Pam when she joined Michael in his own short-lived paper company toward the end of this season. Finally on The Office season 6 preview, some staffing changes is in store for Scranton with Jim at work and Pam pregnant.
Catch The Office when it kicks off its sixth season on September 17 on NBC.
