Wow, another terrifically entertaining episode. I know this episode is already making some fans' blood boil, as it pushes Chuck and Sarah into new relationships, but I'm totally fine with it. Personally, I need a break from the angst between them and we all know they will eventually get together - so let's have some fun with them in other scenarios in the meantime.
This show has gotten a lot of mileage out of storylines where people from Chuck's non-spy life become intertwined with the spy stuff, and so it was here with Hannah. Her tagging along on what she thought was a Nerd Herd job but was really a "We have to rescue Shaw who's about to die" mission was a great opening to the episode - one of several scenes that did a really solid job cutting between different connected events. Meanwhile, Kristin Kreuk is rather ridiculously adorable here as Hannah, and when she made a move on Chuck and began some serious sucking face with him? Very sexy. The show has quickly established Chuck and Hannah as a very appealing, cute pairing and I find myself enjoying their chemistry.
Now Shaw and Sarah were a bit more awkward. Partially because he came off as rather pervy during their mission, as he kissed her neck - in the guise of their cover as a couple - while whispering information to her. His interest in general came about pretty quickly and his approach was fairly off-putting. But I did like their moments later in the episode, as he apologized to her for being unprofessional, and then proved again what a hero he can be, as he picked her up and took her to Chuck and Casey, in the hopes of more quickly getting them both a cure for the poison they'd been subjected her to. Also, it's good to see Shaw continually be so encouraging towards Chuck, as he told him he was almost ready to be a spy on his own.
