The big separation issue isn't just affecting the lives of the Gosselin clan, but their careers are suffering as well. Their TLC show Jon & Kate plus 8 has already been put to the side as of the moment, and it looks like another by-product of their relationships has been temporarily shelved. It's not another TLC series though, it's Kate Gosselin's book.
According to Us Magazine, Christian publisher Zondervan is putting off the date of release for the Gosselin matriarch's new tome: Love is in the Mix: Making Meals into Memories. It's been said that it took a week after Jon and Kate filed their divorce papers for the schedule to be changed.
Love is in the Mix was supposed to hit bookstores in November this year, but it will no longer be the case, thanks to the relationship trouble experienced by the Gosselins. The book will have to undergo further editing, especially since its back cover promised readers to get an "inside look at one of America's most famous close-knit families."
Now that the Gosselin parents are facing their painful public divorce, that line from the book's jacket doesn't seem so appropriate anymore. While it still features Kate's recipes and several healthy eating options, it no longer has the wholehearted appeal it used to have.
The CEO of Zondervan, Maureen Girkins, claimed that the publisher is hoping to "work with Kate to reassess the schedule for her next book." It's a wonder if they'll push through with the release, knowing how difficult things are going for the stars of Jon and Kate Plus 8. Maybe it'll be where Kate's career is headed, who can really say?
Kate Gosselin is already the author of two books: Multiple Bles8ings: Surviving to Thriving with Twins and Sextuplets and the recently released Eight Little Faces. Both were bestsellers, and possibly proof that the TLC star can make it on her own. As usual, the problem is who'll take care of the kids while she's off promoting herself.
