For those who witnessed the third episode of The Celebrity Apprentice, you may have noticed a note at the end of the installment. That hour was dedicated "in memory" of D'Marco Ray, who worked on the show's sound department for the series' current season.
He had also been known for his efforts on a number of other shows, such as being a sound supervisor for Project Runway: All-Star Challenge. D'Marco Ray Smith died of kidney cancer earlier this year, which is why Donald Trump's reality competition offered a brief tribute.
The website Reality Blurred reports that the USC School of Cinematic Arts has created an in-memoriam piece for D'Marco Ray on their page. According to the report, he was diagnosed with the disease in April 2008.
His wife Kristal is pregnant and is "expecting their first child June 4, 2010." However, Smith passed away on February 1 this year after a long struggle with cancer.
