Are Tyra and Lyla On The Way Out?

A couple of weeks back, we learned that NBC and DirecTV are getting closer to renewing Friday Night Lights for another season - or, as it turns out, two. Despite potential problems with the availability of some members of the cast and the crew, both parties were positive that a deal will be reached, and we'll be watching the folks at Dillon get it right for another two years.

Now, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports that a renewal deal will be announced any time now - which means, yes, it seems both parties have agreed to the two-season condition, and it looks like we will really be watching the Panthers for 26 more episodes. But there are a couple of catches: we might not see much of either Adrianne Palicki, or Minka Kelly.

We've no idea about why Palicki could be leaving, but the girl that plays undecided (I had to say that, sorry) Tyra is reportedly getting a multi-episode story arc that culminates in a send-off, much like what we've seen from Smash (Gaius Charles) and Jason (Scott Porter) the past few weeks. As for Kelly, well, she was recently cast in a pilot for The CW, Body Politic, which also features Veronica Mars star Jason Dohring. It's also expected that she'll get a Street-style send-off.

That just makes things a bit more complicated. We earlier heard that Jason Katims' future on Lights could be tossed in the air, since he's signed for another NBC pilot, Parenthood. And then there's director Jeffrey Reiner, who's tasked to direct another pilot for the peacock, the medical procedural Trauma. Well, it's been a couple of weeks since we heard of that, and now that a renewal feels more inevitable, things must've probably changed.

wat will to the other characters like matt saracen-i like his underdog character and i wish he could stay more in the show, even though he deserves to go to Chicago. It would be awesome if he and julie can continue their relationship and even go to the same school or something. Maybe coach taylor will give him an assistant coaching job like he did jason street for the meantime so tht julie can graduate. that would be great. Also, if Tyra is leaving wat will happen to landry clarke - with the 4.2 gpa i know he can go to any college in texas according to the texas state rules. wat will happen to him. i just want to add, i just finished watching season 3 and i couldnt have thought up a better script, the writers have done an amazing job and they have my support as an avid audience when we get our season renewal. Any thoughts or opinions pls reply.
