Picking up right where the last episode left off, this episode sees Peter & Co. scrambling to formulate a plan in the aftermath of the plane crash. In short, the manhunt is now officially on, especially now that Nathan seems to be losing control over "The Hunter." Meanwhile, Claire continues her "Miss Independent" tour, Sylar gains a new protege, an all-new (sorta) alliance is formed, and we say goodbye to a fallen hero... for now, at least.
I'll admit, I've been among the many that have several serious issues with Heroes this season, and after yawning through much of last week's setup episode, I was glad to see a quicker pace return. I'm still not sure what's really at stake here, but I appreciated the way the story was told throughout the episode, jumping back in forth in time. (I didn't say it was original, and it's usually Heroes major weakness, but it did seem to raise the intensity. Note to producers: The music underscoring Peter's big speech at the end, however did not have a similar effect. Quite the opposite, in fact.)
