Charisma Carpenter Interview

Best - perhaps even exclusively - known for her work on TV, in the likes of Buffy, Angel and Veronica Mars, Charisma Carpenter is a clear cult favourite. As Cordelia Chase in Buffy, she was the popular high school cheerleader turned fiercely loyal Scooby Gang member, and she defined a certain acronym as saucy stepmother Kendall Casablancas in the short-lived Veronica Mars.

However despite small roles here and there, she's never made much of a splash in film. That's all set to change with two feature film roles this year. First up is Reg Traviss's Psychosis - on DVD in the UK now - in which she plays a crime writer whose country retreat appears to be haunted. But it's her second movie of the year that is causing the most buzz; she's part of the mammoth ensemble cast of Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables. "My agent says it's amazing," she gushed. "No, he says it's 'frikken awesome!'"
