Ben Affleck at the Sundance Film Festival

Ben Affleck talks about the latest disaster zone in Africa and his new daughter!

Ben puts on his producer cap for a new documentary, 'Reporter,' about Nicolas Kristof, the two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for The New York Times, who is trying to bring the same attention to the humanitarian crisis in the Congo, where 5.4 million have died, that he previously did for Darfur.

So we had to ask, is Ben's involvement in Africa the reason he named his new-born daughter Seraphina?

"That's something that is going to stay in our family," he demurs. Then he adds that wife Jennifer Garner, daughter Violet and Seraphina are "wonderful."

Following Sundance, Ben headed to Washington D.C. for Barack Obama's inauguration, which brings the conversation back to 'Reporter," because, according to Ben, Obama wrote a paper on the Congo in 2006.

"This movie, if you go to see it, is quite hopeful and inspiring and will make you a smarter person," he says.

'Reporter' premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday, January 17.
