'Community' may have been snubbed when the Emmy nominations were announced, but the popular freshman sitcom will be represented during the Emmy Awards broadcast on Sunday. Eight members of the cast, including Joel McHale, Chevy Chase, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs and Danny Pudi will be featured in a series of ads for Infiniti luxury cars, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
There will be a total of three spots -- one 30-second ad and two 45-second ads -- featuring the cast driving in an Infiniti QX 56 on their way to an Emmy party. The Reporter gave a few details about the spots, including Chase saying he wants to put $100 on 'Glee,' which is nominated in several categories, and McHale turning up the radio to drown out Jacobs talking.
The cast finds out there was no party, Pudi had made it up to get everyone together.
'Community' was arguably one of last season's best comedies, featuring a crack cast that also stars Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong and John Oliver (as well as some fantastic fringe nuts like Erik Charles Nielsen). But it garnered only so-so ratings.
Betty White will guest star in the season 2 premiere on Sept. 23 (a role Dan Harmon, the show's creator, had said will be recurring). Holiday and movie-themed shows are also in the works.
