To a lot of people, 'NCIS' is a fairly straight-forward procedural, and by and large, the case of the week is usually a mystery with some twists and turns, lots of forensic clues, an interrogation or two and the Gibbs team doing their thing to solve the crime.
However, as fans of the show know so well, there's a lot more going on than just that.
Last week was the first link in a chain that's being wrapped around Gibbs' neck. Someone is out to get Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, going back 20 years to dig up the darkest chapter of his life and destroy his present.
This week, the chain tightened and bodies piled up. What does it all mean and who's responsible?
The big shocker at the end of the show wasn't Gibbs looking like Sean Connery in 'The Wind and the Lion.' It was the appearance of a badass ex-Army Ranger named Dean (actor Dylan Bruno) who disarmed Gibbs and let him know that the corpse at his feet wasn't Mike, as Jethro feared. Nope, it was Colonel Bell.
