FlashForward's Michael Ealy is going to be very busy in the coming season. Entertainment Weekly reports that he has been cast in USA's odd couple cop dramedy, COMMON LAW. He will play Travis Marks, a 'maverick ladies' man who grew up in foster care and spent time in juvenile detention. That makes him the polar opposite of his partner, Wes Mitchell, a by-the-books methodical former lawyer.Â
The hook for Common Law is that Marks and Mitchell's captain, who is worried the feuding duo's partnership is falling apart, sends them to couples counseling. So far, USA has only ordered a pilot, so we'll have to wait to see if it becomes a full-fledged series.
This new role will not affect Ealy's already announced stint on The Good Wife, where he is expected to appear in at least ten episodes as the owner of a law firm merging with Lockhart and Gardner.
