Making a college graduation speech must be nerve-wracking. There's all that pressure to inspire the young people of tomorrow, plus the fear of making a fool of yourself in public. Certainly, actress Julianna Margulies had some trouble with it
On 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), she tells David Letterman how her terror of giving a bad speech led her to curse out Rahm Emanuel, the current White House Chief of Staff. Which was really a potentially awful idea on her part.
It seems that Rahm and Julia attended the same college in New York. But Rahm gave the graduation address the year before Margulies had to do it. This freaked her out, because Emanuel gave a "great speech," and now he was being followed by "some TV actress." But luckily (or unluckily), Margulies got to express her frustration with the Chief of Staff. Julianna and Rahm randomly bumped into each other at a White House dinner. So the actress went straight up to him and said this: "You're such an a**hole."
